due to some doubts about the media and reearch account members and their assumed intentions please know that of course not everybody is welcome in the forum and gets such an account.
Every media member and researcher has to go through a verification procedure first.He or she has to comply with the forum rules and gets his background checked as thoroughly as possible.
Media members have to let us know who they are, for whom they are writing and has to offer examples of the work past. That way we not only know their identity but we know if they are professional and obey ethics of a professional journalist. People who want sensationalism are not accepted and don´t get a media account.
The same procedure is done with researchers. We check their record as well and contact their professors to backcheck wether they are truely working on the scientific paper they state.
I have done the verification process for almost ten years now and I can say that nobody slipped through.
So please know that the members who received such an account have earned it and can be trusted to do a professional job.
I have given a lot of interviews myself and took part in most scientific surveys, the one´s I didn´t where the one´s I simply couldn´t participate because of no personal knowledge, like on robot dolls, simply because I don´t own one, like most of you.
Of course no member has to feel obliged to participate but please know that the media and research account members can be trusted.
If it wasn´t the case I wouldn´t have interviews and participated in the surveys myself.
