The solution is to create the mold with legs spread as their natural, at rest position. Of course, that would make legs closed the stressed position, but the stress would be on the hips and outer thighs rather than the vagina.

Why is this not commonly done? Likely because the molds will take more space to store with spread legs.

i actually don't mind a small gape when the legs are spread apart (my XYColo 153SB is like that... make it easier to clean and to dry... i hang my dolls up on racks with legs open for a day or so to let gravity and air get as much water out as possible, then insert 2 tampons and close the legs for a couple days, then remove them)... plus, when you are banging away, you're not looking down there anyway.

that said, a closed vagina certainly looks better and more realistic, and some companies have done just that... here are some pics from a couple of IronTech dolls (not mine)... the bottom doll is TPE, not sure if the top doll is TPE or silicone.
