I am mesmerized by this doll. The face is beyond gorgeous.

Hi Alice (and any other TDF Vendors who may see this),

I have a question that I hope can get answered. I ordered the SLE 172CM doll with 201 Head from a different TDF- Approved vendor who has been, I'll say "un-helpful" but has been closer to misleading and avoiding the issues. I received my doll yesterday. (Beautiful doll, perfect) HOWEVER the #201 Head than came with it, while it does have the "movable jaw, the material is much, MUCH harder than the SLE Silicone of the doll even though they came together as an "in stock doll". I saw Mishka1965's excellent review of this doll and his head is clearly made from the very soft SLE silicone. The ultra-soft SLE Head was a HUGE selling point for me. Am I the only one who got the shaft when it comes to getting a "standard so-called soft silicone" instead of the much, MUCH softer SLE silicone head? I've gotten absolutely nowhere with my vendor. Their only reply was "As compensation, we can send you a free silicone care kit in exchange for a positive review on TrustPilot, and included a link for the review. Seriously? How is that compensation for me? I spent $2300+USD with them and received unsatisfactory merchandise and poor customer support and I get a few bucks worth of cleaning products and only if I give a positive review (And i have to send them a link to my review to prove that I did)? Bite me.

Side note, I also ordered a Zelex head (GE45-2) from this same vendor a month before placing this doll order. I specifically asked if it was available in the ultra-soft SLE silicone, again because of Miska1965's review. They said "Of course, dear we can do that." After getting my money and well over a month later (production ended and the head has been in-transit since 3/14 and didn't even reach the US until 3/26..I expect delivery 3/30) I reached out about my concerns yesterday (since my new doll had the harder head) and asked if my head that was coming (GE45-2) was indeed SLE since the one I got yesterday definitely isn't, and now they say it was NOT and that SLE isn't available for that model of head! So, $500USD later, I could have just ordered a different head in SLE had they been straight with me.

As a respected Vendor here, how would you handle these problems?

If any orher TDF Vendors see this, I'd like to hear their thoughts as well. Either here or via PM. I've spent $2300+USD for ONE perfect doll body and TWO sub-par heads. I've bought several dolls over the years and about a dozen heads and not ONCE has a vendor been this hard to deal with. In fact, with the exception of one or two questions prior to ordering, I've never had to contact them for any reason other than to say "Thank you" after receiving my order.

I appreciate any advice. As of now, I can only think that maybe Zelex themselves may be my best hope to get this sorted. If that's the case and anyone has a personal contact at Zelex who actually may be of help, I'll be in your debt. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I got mine yesterday. Please let me know if your 201 head is the softer SLE material or the harder, standard "soft" silicone. My head is definitely NOT SLE soft like the body.

So I finally got her unpacked and the head seems to be the soft SLE as with the body. Did you happen to select a different head than the model shown with the SLE body, like one of the regular Zelex silicone heads? I chose mine exactly as the pics were cause that is what I really liked.

Thanks for the reply. No, I ordered the exact combo offered as "In Stock - US" from RosemaryDoll (it was in stock but in Shenzhen and still got here in 4 days) but I have no clue why my head is so much harder than the SLE body. The lips, nose, ears...all the parts not affected by the skull behind it are noticeably harder and stiffer than the toes and nipples of the SLE body for example. I'm working with Zelex directly because my vendor has been zero help. I have to send Zelex a video demonstration to prove my point. It's aggravating. I've been a hobbyist prop maker using platinum silicone in all hardenss levels, polyurethane, etc and I have fingers that can feel differences in the two materials. Lol

I'm guessing here, but maybe they have all the dolls boxed up then grab the appropriate head off the shelf to match the order and they grabbed the wrong head for mine? Right #201, wrong material.

I have another Zelex head (#G45-2) due any minute from FedEx. It will be the regular soft silicone. So it should be really easy to see if they're the same, especially the ears, lips and noses. I mean, when you can stretch the big toe of an SLE Doll with ease, the much thinner ear of the head should be even easier to stretch if made from the same material. That's just physics! Lol
