Will the existing threads about repair and maintenance of a RD still be of any use for RD2? Or will this be a "let's start from scratch"-kind of thing?

I'm thinking that with the additional foam and the different silicone things might be different.

Dollified.

I think the techniques of repair will be the same or similar.

Not often that repairs get down to the "foam core" level.

For the most part it shouldn't be to much different. It's best to shoot me an email or a PM before you do any repair so myself or one of our engineers can walk you through it.
