Ahoy Shipmates
Howdy - Simoniz - welcome aboard i see you signed on July 4, that's great thank you for joining the TDF and even more to posting your question - and a good one too -
Well as in all things being subjective to ones experiences and preferences - we all like this and that which to some may seem odd or out of step to what others believe conventional wisdom - so with said- sorta kinda - like a disclaimer -
i have been riding with the inflata-gang since 1983 so in all these decades i will have become bias to the positive of inflates - but - in all fairness i do keep an open mind to other things - and when i did see the Teddy Babe up close i was impressed they seemed very nice - my only concern was the size as all inflates are about 5 foot and some even bigger than that which is what i had become accustomed too - so when i became aware of an increased size Teddy Babe-Deluxe - i was so there and couldn't wait -
Having recieved my TB-D Akiko back in the earlier spring of this year 2011 - i am still very impressed - she is still a bit stiff and having read much here at TDF i know she will loosen up as time goes by -

I am also "in my mind" at least new to the French made Poupee-latex - i had also become aware of them from reading here at the TDF and was so thrilled to order one, that in the end i purchased 3 of them - i recieved all 3 last year also in the early spring thru late spring of 2010 -
The Poupee-latex dolls are a great inflata-babe and i do highly recommend them as an excellent doll - as all things are they perfect - well the answer is no as - no item ever is but as far as quality is concerned they are a well built doll and while i did have some initial issues with my first one made worse by accident in the home - the other 2 have been flawless - and even now the first one i got is back in action as good as new -
Simoniz you mentioned some issues that you are aware of with the poupee-latex - such as ;
1. -Head comes off;
-Is this is the weak link of this doll design ? well as a mutli-media doll made of a latex body with a vinyl head - the head is glued onto the latex body - this is not really a weak link as long as you take some precautions to prevent undue stress to this area - but even if this were to fail - you can easily re-glue - her head back into the latex body - so the idea of just her popping off at random is not true its a well conceived idea and after heavy use over a year this hasn't been an issue with two of my inflata-babes -
2.- Paint falls off hands & footsies
- Well that true - but - so too of any other doll i have had its a simple fix - just select a new color and re-do her up - no big deal and it took some time for the paint to come off so again no big deal -
3.- Bad Sex -
- Wow that's a new one on me - well from experience i can truly say that one is untrue - very much the opposite she is a good doll - just remember any action with an inflata-babe requires a water based personal lubricant - this is a must to prevent damage to you and dolly period - others might think different - but don't be fooled water based lube is a must with these dolls period -
4.- Transportable
-Well all inflata-babes is truley one of the most portable dolls to travel with - and the safest too so if travel plans are in the future take the Poupee-latex as she loves to travel - ** travel tips below **
5.- Cuddle Comparison -
- okay here is what i think - remember what i wrote above - and cover Lilith ears - ---- okay her ears covered - well the Poupee-latex are very cuddly and are a wonder to sleep with - i live in a seasonal climate area so latex with her cool to the touch feel are a wonder to sleep with in the summer as they don't get burning hot from your body heat and keep nice in bed where as the Teddy Babe with her polyester skin can get warm - so for a seasonal person latex for summer & Teddy Babe for a winter -
Okay both are a wonderful doll - we all take comfort in what we like and for me to type you a definative answer of what you should like would be unfair - i like inflata-dolls period - there is nothing wrong with TB or TB-D when they are new yes they are a bit stiff but again they loosen up - and there is never fear of a TB springing a leak or at least if they do there will just be polly fill all over -
Travel with a Poupee-latex makes the most sense - and i do it a lot never with any trouble - things to remember when traveling with a Poupee-latex - protect the head to body joint so that the head doesn't get flattened which will pull the glue off from the latex body - take the air valve off from the back of the head and place in either of her entries so it does not get lost - but manly as cabin pressure changes as the plane travels causes a doll with the air valve in to inflate and deflate and in a stored position - this is not a good idea - open air valve allows the doll to vent pressure and prevent damage - always put doll in a checked bag not as a carry on -
Train/bus travel the air valve should be done the same way too -
Hope i have helped in some way - Simoniz-
Fair Seas -
