The baby oil explains it. Over the past 9 months I'd used A LOT of baby oil as lubricant, as well as her exterior. Fortunately I have not noticed any exterior damage.

Hand cream seems safe enough as it just dries, crusts, and falls off. I use it as an interior lubricant, and on her inner thighs as a lubricant for my waist.

3. Is butter safe for Stephanie's exterior? Sometimes I like to massage to rub it on her to give her a more natural oily skin and salty taste. Or does butter count as an oil as well?

having no silicone dolls myself, so not being an expert on these, I do believe you would be much better off using waterbased lubricants ... even if some of the things you tried apparently didn't do any damage ... I for one won't take the chance.

And of course good luck on repairing your beautiful doll

Is there a particular water based lubricant you'd recommend?

I tried several different types of KY. One with a warming feeling was nice, but KY is very expensive and all types seem to by stickier than honey and make a mess on my doll and my bed.

Is there a safe water based lubricant/cream which is save for an external massage?

Update:

Abyss' silicone repair kit did the trick. It really holds strong! A little bit did go a long way!

In fact Stephanie's so tight she's back to being the tight virgin she was when she first arrived. I must rebreak her in with phallic objects a lot stronger than the human body in order to open her up.

I promise photos when I have time to post them.

And Stephanie will win that "standing doggy style" photo challenge.

Hi Kazuo,

Congratulations on Stephanie’s repair; I know how nerve-wracking they can be, but it looks like she’s come through OK. I’ve been lucky with Claire Marie, she’s an old tin silicone doll, but I haven’t had to repair her labia yet (fingers crossed). I guess it’s because I’m so small, I don’t actually over-stress her in that area.

I totally agree with you about using the adhesive sparingly. It’s amazing how what seems to be the correct amount, just keeps oozing out of the joint. The other guys here recommended not closing the gap when using the two-part and I think that’s the best approach, but as they said, the effect of gravity has to be born in mind.

With respect to the lubrication, I agree with siliconelover, but here also is a link to a thread which covers the subject and it contains a few links to similar threads:-
Best Lube?
I use ID Glide as it isn’t as sticky as KY and can be diluted with water for massaging. If you look at the thread in the link, AlexKnight mentions the fact you can buy ID Glide by the gallon. I thought he was kidding, but it’s true and it works out very reasonably priced at about 70c per oz.
Regards,
Dave.
