I haven't been able to log on all day. Then I read this post, thanks for the advice, and cleared my cache and cookies and it works now. However I have just read another management post about the problem being solved, it was apparantly regarding cookies etc, so I really don't know if clearing all my cookies was the answer or not, sorry, I can't really help out on this matter.

The main thing is that now it seems the problem has been resolved, not just for me, BG and narcissus, but hopefully everyone, as I gather there were quite a few that couldn't log on today.

I did some tries to login to TDF with my own nickname and also with the name of my doll. Now it's working properly.

BTW, in the bottom of the index page, and I'm sure of other subpages of TDF there are some links to report problems, also login problems. I used them.

I voted "I had no problems at all", because while the problem existed, I wasn't logging in. When I entered TDF after I got home, it worked without trouble.

I had the problem for some minutes but now the site is working for me as fine as usual, thanks to mods

Im still having trouble, it was fine first thing this morning but then all of a sudden I get this message

Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

The only way i have found to get in is 'In Private'
I have cleared the cookies but it hasent helped.

Ideas?

I voted “no problem” however I only logged on at 2015 EST. Hope everybody is able to get on by now.

That is strange, because when you put the browser in private mode, it creates new files, which get deleted afterwards.
Have you used the link at the bottom right of the page named "Delete all board cookies", to remove your cookies?

If you have, and still having trouble, you may want to remove all your temporary files, so all forum files will have to be downloaded again, basically the same thing as what happens when you're in private mode.

I was haveing a hell of a time getting logged in last night,...

I ended up going: Tools>Internet Option>Browser history>Clear history.
Then after that: Tools>Internet options>Veiw files>select all>Deleate!

That seems to have fixed it.

But today I can't seem to get into Chat,...
The page half loads then stalls/freezes,....

My UK 'me' logged in after 20+ trys which was odd not Fen ?????????? now my 'recent posts' went from a full page to 1 but is slowly increasing teething probs or oooooooooooops

I did not get as far as trying to log in. I got a bad server request (something about a header being too large to process) when I clicked the entry photo.

I normally use Google Chrome, so I switched to IE, and it worked. However, I cleared my Chrome cookies and that solved the problem.
