The only games I play with my girls do not involve surgery!
I take very seriously any work that I do on them.
RTV silicone is not the same as sil-poxy, in that it is made by a different company,
but if you read the chemical makeup of the two, they are almost identical.
In fact, the label on the sil-poxy reads," Sil-Poxy Silicone Adhesive is a one-component
adhesive made for bonding RTV silicone rubber to silicone rubber and other materials."
Normally, I use sil-poxy for all my repairs, but the reason for my choice was that I needed to be able to get the adhesive deep
across the bulge for even coating-
thus the use of the can of RTV under pressure- so the adhesive would "squirt" across the inside of the bulge.
I also timed the amount of adhesive that came out of the can when the "trigger" was squeezed
so that I had a good idea of how long to hold the trigger while the nozzle was inside the bulge.
Starting as deep into the bulge as possible, I squeezed the trigger and slowly backed the nozzle out,
spreading from side to side as I went.
Once filled and the nozzle removed, I manipulated the bulge from the outside to "coat" the adhesive
around inside the bulge, especially near the edges of the bulge, to keep it from spreading.
When laid back to her original position, a small amount of excess adhesive oozed out of the puncture,
which to me indicated a pretty thorough coating on the inside.
Once dry the stomach is flat and smooth, as normal.
Will it last for years? Don't know. But with a small investment and a little time, I have returned my
girl to her original state and no longer have an unsightly bulge across her stomach.
I'm sure the manufacturer could do a more professional job- so I guess you can just pack her up and send her back.
That shouldn't be any trouble at all
Charlie.
