In exploration of the subject of my doll interest being labeled a fetish, I am curious as to state of minds.

Does your doll sexually arouse you because dolls themselves sexually arouse you or because the doll looks like a sexy woman which is what arouses you?

Whereas fetishes, tend to focus on the objects themselves to cause the arousal and sexual desire, it has occurred to me that I am looking at the dolls more in the context of a real woman. It looks like, feels like and performs sex much like a real woman, to the limits of its inanimate nature.

Foot fetish, shoe fetish, rubber fetish, etc are all fixating on the objects whereas the doll is essentially a surrogate emulating a full body real sex experience.

That´s a really interesting topic and for me it´s really hard to decide for one option.

I can echo that sentiment. I have no delusions when I'm having sex with my doll, I'm very well aware she's a doll, but I think of her as a woman, because that's the way I make love to her. Her "needs" need to be fulfilled as well, so lots of caressing, some cunnilingus, things like that...
