The places where we can custom order the elf outfits

Ok, back to the clothing topic...

Someone posted this site a while back and I was looking at perhaps getting something from them for my 39" tall Abby project.

They do stock sizes down to a child XXSM size which fits 2-3 year-olds. Probably a little big for the elf, but according to the website, they will do custom orders for a $25 customization fee and they save the patterns. They do everything from leotards to hot pants to sheath dresses.
Might be worth a try to see if they would do something in an elf size, but hey probably wouldn't do anything XXX rated if that's what you're looking for.

I realize that the important thing to tailoring a custom outfit is having the doll to measure. In this case, BD seems to be the only option right now.

My mother in law asked me a few months ( after she saw the elf doll I made) I told her that I wasn't sure, but after reading this post, it looks like there could be a demand. She is an excellent seamstress and is retire so she has the time. I'll talk to her again and see what she says.

Thanks broadfall. I am sure that there will be more and more elf owners who love to dress up their doll for photographing. However, the person who can comfortably sew the outfits needs to have the elf body with her.

She's cool, she would not mind taking the elf doll home to measure for clothing. The elf doll I made has very similar measurements to the BD elf.
I'm going to talk to her again and see what she says, I post back if she is interested.

One idea I came up with is to cut across a preemie size body suit to turn it into a top and an underwear. The underwear is too tight to snap on all three buttons so I only snapped the middle one and wore it backward to look cleaner (the snapping buttons were hidden behind).

Neat.

I made some crop tops for my small doll out of the same type of garment.
I don't like the overlapping shoulder piece so I trimmed them up in a way I had long strips and tied them at the shoulders to make more of a tank top. Could be trimmed and sewed too.

I found a place on Aliexpress called Wamami, they also have their own website http://www.wamami.com. I have an EID sized doll so I asked them if they can make something on their site fit my doll, they did and it was an extra $10 for the entire order. Since then, I've changed my doll's body to an even bigger body so I asked Wamami if they can make clothes with the new measurements, they have no problems with that. I have to warn you though, it takes at least 3 weeks for each order.

Here is another way to wear so that the shoulder pieces are not overlapping. I think it looks less childish. And another two more body suits coming with the set I bought from Walmart. I will keep an eye on the new designs that do not look child-like. Hope I see one.

I am getting an elf sized body and will produce clothing for them. She is shipping to me monday I will let everyone know when she comes in the mail.

the size to look for is Lusion size. not tried them my self but head from a member on here a while back they fit.

Thanks dollman2. I have, indeed, explored this option before. It's actually pretty tricky because not everything under Lusion size would fit the elf's body due to a different proportion from the two dolls. Thus, you have to double check with the dimensions they provided and make sure it would fit.
