Interesting video on ball joint doll (bjd) sexualization

BJD artist shows how she sexualizes dolls... of course her purpose is to sexualize the doll so that it can be used to show some stupid feminist propaganda. Haha. I am sure she would be mortified to see her art used to make sex dolls. Maybe she would complain that we are trafficking dolls.

i'm not sure where feminism comes into play here, all I saw was an artist creating amazing looking dolls with such extreme detail that they must be worth a fortune. Wish I could buy one.

Sorry jrlc, I failed to see her "sexualize the doll so that it can be used to show some stupid feminist propaganda." I think she is very bold to take on subject like abuse and breast cancer.

Great detailed work. Nice to see an artist taking such great care to produce her work. You can see she is loves her work.

I think some may be confusing the term "sexualization" with sexual objectification.
To sexualize something simply means to give something sexual traits.
I'm not seeing any propaganda in what she's doing though, in fact in the video she even states that she feels that it is wrong to obscure the sexual traits of dolls, which can lead to people feeling ashamed of their bodies.

Her creations are beautiful works of art. Wish I had half that talent.

I'm all for feminism in the first place, the world would be a much worse place without it (not only for women). Back to the dolls: I've been following that artist's Flickr gallery for a long time, her art is absolutely awesome.

She does wonderful work. I wonder if z-one or another company would commission her for a head?
I wonder how much she would charge to make a model head?
