EYE YEI YEI!!!

So in afar off thread i talked about using contacts for eyes in the doll. So today i decided to do an art project.
I first customised my Dalai's origonal eyes splitting open some cheap hallowen eyes i bought at the local dollar store.

I then used the nail glue which i believe is super glue to mke her eyes spherical and removed the cotton from her eye sockets.
I think it looks great and actually fills out the skull better, the only problem I forsee is if they pop out during oral but thats somthing i will have to write about at a later date

Then i took another pair of the eyes and placed some cool contacts on them. First i rubber cemented a little dab covering the retna and iris, then applied the contact. I then coated over the top with some more rubber cement...

Then i gave her a hit of crack lol, see.

Just kidding.
But contacts work and i will probably use real eyes next when i order some more.

Great idea! Very cool cheap crack head eyes!

Never thought to use contacts instead of spending 100's on different sets of eyes.
Can you remove the contacts without damaging the original eye?

yes i belive you can as rubber cement is a semi permanent adhesive. you might ruin the contact or rip it if not careful. But the cement should rub off and leave the eyeball undamaged.

Hello everybody! So I recently got some new eyes for my lovely lady Dali and they are top notch the best custom eyes anyone could hope for. MannequinFan Is magic! The brilliant design of magnetic irises is just astounding!!! I got four pairs of irises Two magnetic eyeballs and he threw in two eyelash holders that actually make it so you can close the eyes. I know that these are not what was intended for but they give the effect of closed eyes when you pull them down. I did not add eyelashes yet because I have some really extravagant ones on the way and want to wait for those.

With out further adieu.... Eye yei yei!

so this is my standard eye (with a glue smudge) on bottom and the new eye on top. Look at the nice big iris it is definitely an upgrade!

these are the four colors I got
A beautiful light blue with tones of green that almost make an aqua tone in the light. My favorite!
A deep purple that stare into your soul
A Hazel with green accent
and a Light green with amber tones.
DID I MENTION THE INGENIOUS CONTACT CASE TO STORE YOUR IRISES!

Those are really cool eyes. Easy to change colors and a lot less wear and tear on the doll than popping eyeballs in and out of the eye socket.

Yes indeed you just need a high powered magnet to swap out the iris' I like how white the eyeball is as well. I think the only improvements that could be made would be some vein work in the eyeball, MannequinFan has made a fan out of me. Everyone who wants awesome eyes should PM him. He has a crafty way with them 3D printers! It would be helpful to add a magnet for removal with a felt on it. Like one of those automotive screw magnets that extend so you can pick up screws off the floor with. Luckily I have some high power magnets laying around.

I appreciate the kind words and nice photos!
Those blue ones really do look nice in your Dali.

The eyelash holder is a new thing I just whipped up so this is the first time I've seen it installed.
Looks like it works!

- You may want to trim them a little if they are too long. You can just cut them with scissors.
It will be cool to see her when you get the lashes!

Hehe, that actually works better than I thought it would for the closed eyes.

I never really gave that much thought until you mentioned it.

Oh yea I just took her for a drive and having the ability to close her eyes or have them slightly opened adds so much to the intimacy. I swear she was enjoying it as much as I was!
Yes i will post more when the lashes come in. But just by themselves they are super! They add a bit of depth with the dark eyeliner and oh my the way she looks at me.
You DA MAN MannequinFan! I have a feeling these eyelash holders and eyes will be a huge hit!
