Fixing Up the House - The Hall is finally finished.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback.
The Hall rejuvenation is finally finished.

In the last post, Daria commented on how shiny the floor is.
Let's have some fun with that !

This floor is a lot shinier than you thought.

Note: The pictures of Daria and her reflection have not been photoshopped. The floor really is that reflective.

I am truly amazed at how wonderful the floor turned out.
Before After Thank you for following Daria and I through our hall spruce up.
To recap, this project involved ripping up ratty old carpet, removing 2 layers of ugly wall paper, patching holes, painting the ceiling, walls and trim, stripping the old flooring, putting down 4 coats of polyurethane, and then installing new quarter round molding.

Stay tuned. This thread is not finished. Next we move on to the bathroom.

I now realise why my former school headmistress told us not to wear shiny shoes.
But Izzy, don't blame scooter.
The shiny floor pictures were a complete surprise, but it was my conscious decision not to wear panties. I like the effect it has on him.

Thanks for the compliment. No one has ever called Daria's eyes smoky before.


The effect is totaly accidental. It may not look like it in the picture, but the colour used is green.
Daria has black eyeliner just above her lashes, Above that is dark green eye shadow, and above that is light green eye shadow.
Her eye makeup had been on for a couple of weeks and some nice natural blending has take place so there is a smooth transition from the black to light green, resulting in a colour I would describe as "olive".
Underneath her eye is black eye liner and a pale brown.. Hope this helps,
