Hi
For eyebrows I use eye shadow and I recently bought a pack of ten eyebrow templates off Ebay. They are inexpensive and it works perfectly for me. I paint a coat or two of vaseline - petroleum jelly on top to set them. I use eye shadow for lips as well.

Eyebrows the bane of my existence!!!!!

I can barely draw a straight line, let alone little hairs, and my attempts at making even the simplest freehand brow left my angel looking like a circus clown. Then I switched to temporary tattoos, but the problem is that Christen is very much a blonde. I tried black and they looked terrible. I bought brown ones but they look much more red than brown. However, I did discover how to get them to stick.

HOW TO GET TEMPORARY TATTOOS (eyebrows and otherwise) TO STICK:

Cut out a blank part of the sheet that has the tattoos on it. Get it wet. It will feel slimy. Get the slime on your finger and spread it on the area of the TPE where you want to put the tattoo. The "slime" is actually a glue and the tattoo will stick to it. Also you have to wet the back of the tattoo to get it to release onto the skin. When you do, make sure to get the paper completely saturated and soaked through.

For now I'm using templates and eye shadow, either on a small brush or the tip of my finger. Still looking for an eyeshadow to match "blonde", though ... sigh.

Thank you Wheezer. Great advice on the eyebrow tattoos.

Never knew anyone made eyebrow wigs :haha4: But, I want them now that I know.

Money is tight so I'll have to wait.

Well if money is tight and you can wait a few weeks, then look at the AliExpress app.

The have a $1.99 sale section and frequently have eyebrows tattoos listed.
A sheet of a dozen or more eyebrow tats shipped to your door for $2 should not break the bank.

Cheers!

Thank you Wheezer.
I found some eyebrow tattoos on Amazon. 6 various sheets for $7.
They were OK. Just couldn't get that shine out.

But as I am such a do it yourself person, I thought I'd make my own eyebrow wigs.
A bit of black fabric with a high nap, cut to shape. Then brushed with glue to get to keep from looking crazy. Trimmed again. Applied with Elmer's or Modge Podge so I can reposition for different expressions. They are far from perfect, but I love the dramatic look.

The eyebrow wigs look nice. Good job on those.

For the tattoos I moisten a Q-tip (or ear bud) iso propyl alcohol and GENTLY roll is over the tattoo. If you do it gently a few times the tat carrier partially dissolved into the TPE and reduces the shine. Finish with some a bit of powdering and they should blend in nicely. That what I did on the test head on page 1 of the thread and it seems to work well.

Hope it helps.
Cheers!

Thank you. Tried the iso, didn't do much for me.
I'll try 90% iso next time.
But this is why I love the advantage of moving them. Subtle movements of eyes and eyebrows can change expressions.
Demure

Good point there.

For photos and such moving the eyebrows and eyelids can have a significant impact.
However my dolls have to be able to ...er... "perform services" along with looking pretty. :)
So I avoid eyebrow wigs and items that may move or shift service sessions.

Cheers!

I know what you mean.
Playtime can get rough.

But once dried, Elmer's makes a tough hold...
(I wonder if they'll use this as their new ad campaign)

I can just see their ad campaign slogan now ...
"Elmer's Glue holds them on, even when you are giving head"
Or, well, maybe not.

But here the eyebrows and makeup compliment the hair and outfit well.

Cheers!

When I did my mohair pube patch, I was pleasantly surprised how well Elmer's holds on TPE. One of these days I'll get around to doing some mohair brows.

Elmer's is a good glue for temporary use.
Love that it peels away with no harm.
Might be good for the merkin making.
(Hear that Elmer's?)

Also, I just started using Modge Podge.
Found it in the crafts section at walmart.
It's like a thicker Elmer's. Doesn't seem to reactivate to water after drying. This makes it great for layering. Using modge and acrylic paint, I made some eyebrows with just that. Removable and reusable. And a slicker look.
