Ah, it's going to be a long time before I forget about the fun of Arachne's birthday! To fit the prompt I set the scene as Arachne falling into her cake instead of the actual story. Good times!

You've got to keep your pets entertained! This was a fun little gif to make.

LOL! I love the photo with the cake! 🍰🤩 (It's the kind of photo that makes you laugh out loud when you're setting up :D ).

...and the GIF is great too! I love the fluidity of the movement! (It's something I need to improve in my GIF's! )

Thanks for sharing, big BRAVO! 📸 🎥 👏👏👏
Cheers! :glou:

👍 it's a really good fun Gif. You did well with the motion - very smooth! I haven't made many animations in a long time. Actually, I can't find my tripod so that doesn't help!

The cake shoot has definitely been one of my favorites!

Fluidity is all about small movements and patience! I know you can do it, gogo! :D

Thanks Willendorph! You should find that tripod! It was your tutorial that got me started with them! :glou:

I was so busy getting my story posted over in the Clan's thread that we're a little late with last month's photos but here we go!

Awkward Moment

Yep, possibly one of my dumbest ideas for a contest entry! I couldn't think of anything good which was pretty awkward. Ah well. It still gave me an excuse to take a picture of Arachne and I haven't heard anyone complain!

Risky Situation
Arachne in "Sleeping Dragon"

Slowly and quietly the drow snuck up on the beast's den, her sword strapped to her back. Crouching behind a rocky outcrop she peered around the corner. The beast was asleep, its face marred by the scars of the previous adventurer it had tangled with. Based on the corpse she'd passed on the way here it had been some hapless dwarf, not a skilled drow like herself. She glanced up at the cavern's ceiling where her pet Eyeball, Rhylqualyn, waited among the stalactites for her order to engage. She slowly drew her sword and prepared for the coming battle.

"For House Baenre!" she yelled as she charged and swung her sword.

This contest really made me think about how much I need to start working on Arachne's gear... Still, any reason to strap her sword to her back is a good time! (until you photoshop it into a shadow and it's likely no one saw what little of it could be seen... How about a full sized original?

Heh. When I do these posts I'm just going through my files and posting things in no particular order... Here's a better look at her sword!

Head to Toe

This photo was a little rushed. I didn't realize how much the light from the window was washing things out but I still love the photo. The sheer black hose, the skirt so tight it's actually hard to get over her hips, the sword harness, long legs, and some beautiful blue skin... 💙🩵💙 I do love my Arachne!

That was all for Arachne last month. Have a bonus photo, Arachne and I are preparing to go and visit my sister for the long weekend and today I got her dressed up for the journey. I got inspired to modify her harness a little.

Any reason to get Arachne in my car! This was a fun one to set up. The car is of course in my garage but there's a window on the right side. It put light in the car which was nice, but it also cast light on the stuff in the garage and made it visible through the windshield. To make it dark I draped sheets over the car. The police lights are four of my RGB LED lights which are conveniently magnetic and stuck to my garage door. I gave Arachne some appropriate music for the occasion, hopped in the back seat, and used a light panel in my hand to light her.

She cast Darkness on a corner and the cop crashed. No one's giving this drow a ticket!

I've always wanted a weapon wall... I don't even care that all of this stuff is Lord of the Rings, I'm just jealous of this weapon wall!

This photo didn't work quite like I hoped. My main goal was to take a legit selfie and prove it. I didn't need to prove it, but that's what I wanted to do. The good thing is that I achieved it, but the angle didn't work well to capture the magnificence of Arachne's outfit. Oh well. Here I don't have to worry about clogging up a contest thread with non entry photos! That dress was worth every penny...

"Arachne, are you ready- Hey! I thought I told you no weapons!"

"Insolent rivvil jaluk! Don't you know better than to walk in on a girl getting ready!? OUT!"

For those of you missing Arachne's story thread I really hope to get something in there in June!

But... Aren't you ... dead? (at least mortally injured?). Did the cat clean up the kitchen for nothing?

This is the out of character thread! I'm not dead here!

Or, maybe that's not my hand in the last photo and Arachne's found someone else to do her bidding... :(
