We're sorry, we're sorry, we're sorry, and we hope we didn't scare anyone by disappearing the last two days. The pre-orders were drop-shipped yesterday afternoon (7/11), meaning that our shipping provider now has them. The reason for the delay was at our resquest this time. Reason being, our bank (credit card processor) is giving us a very hard time about processing all the credit cards. As you know, we have to charge quite a few orders, and our bank (which previously told us that there would be no problem doing this and that it would be seamless and immediate) is now being very tough about security, etc. and is carefully scrutinizing all of our transactions. Last monday, they made us fax them everyone's invoices, and now are telling us that there will be a delay processing the cards, esp. the multiple-doll orders and our overseas orders. We don't, as yet, know how long any of this is going to take, but we will keep you informed as soon as we know.
What this means to you, the customer, is as follows: If you paid us in advance (as a handful of people did), you Teddy Babes will be shipped to you today and you should have them by Mon or Tues of next week at the latest. For those who paid by credit card, we are now ready to charge your cards, and will be charging them this morning. This afternoon, we will be talking again with our credit card bank (which is on the West Coast) and we are going to do everything we can to get them to process the cards quickly so that your Teddy Babes (which are being held in our shipping provider's warehouse --a very dry and clean one) can be shipped. I know that we must sound like a broken record, but we really are sorry about these ridiculous delays. Both Jenny and I are very stressed out about them, but we are doing the very best we can. As we've had to do several times through this process, we really count on and appreciate your patience. We would also appreciate it if those customers who do receive their Teddy Babe's first will post here on TDF and confirm that their dolls have arrivesd and that we are indeed shipping asap.
Thanks again for your continued patience as we sort this nonsense out.

Well, as always, they are up front with their trial and tribulations, and while it is frustrating for all, it is appreciated by everyone here.
I haven't been charged yet on my credit card, nor recieved any email, but I can rest a bit easier knowing that Dave & Jenni are staying on top of everything.

When this whole thing is through, and all the dolls have been shipped out and paid for, Dave and Jenni should take a VACATION! I know they have been working nonstop for WEEKS on this deal! (This thread was started at 5 AM, for pete's sake!) My hat's off to you for all your dedication to this project. Take a break, you two! ATTENTION ARTHUR IN PENNSYLVANIA!!!
Jenni and I are working things out with the bank asap. All of our pre-paid orders are shipped, and we hope that everything will begin to go through by Monday or Tues, although international transactions may take a little longer (sorry!).
MOST IMPORTANTLY, We need to reach a customer named Arthur in Pennsylvania.
Arthur emailed us today complaining that we never responded to him and that he's going to cancel his card because he doesn't trust us, etc. Arthur, if you read this, please know that we have been responding to all your emails (as everyone else here can attest). We just emailed you tonight via a different email service (in case our web-based Teddy Babes email doesn't reach you for some reason). Now, along with everyone else, we just charged your card yesterday. However, we are very worried about you reporting our charge as fraudulent or whatever because it is certainly going to make our bank go nuts and possibly delay everything. So, if you read this post, PLEASE email us at EighthWonderLLC@aol.com and perhaps we can communicate that way. We also of course have your phone number, but do not think it is appropriate to call you unless you tell us to. Your Teddy Babe is at our shipping provider and is waiting to go out as soon as your card transaction reaches us. If you want to cancel your order, we will be happy to cancel it and refund your money; but we aren't sure what to do unless you email us and let us know. We will try to respond to you (in whatever form you want) as soon as we can. Thank you, Arthur.
