Those are INNFOS SCA servos, they did a kickstarter awhile back that ultimately got suspended for numerous reasons. Nevertheless, if they can get a decent supply of them they are a massive upgrade over hobby-style servos, as you can clearly see in the video. On the flipside, IIRC they cost about $400 each, so extrapolating that out to 2 arms that's over 4K in motors/drivers. From a robotics perspective I consider that reasonable, but I can't imagine too many people shelling out 10k (very conservative price for 2 arms) on robotic arms for their dolls. I bet this is going to be relegated to their "show robot" lineup for now. Still can't wait to see more!

Initially these will cost the proverbial but provided this world does not go to crap then prices (and quality) will reduce

Hey look at it this way. The average cost of a wedding is $34,000 USD, not to mention ongoing costs for food, clothes, health care, etc etc etc. So if your robotic love doll companion costs less than that, victory.

There is something about a hard internal structure covered by a skin that does not do it for me
A tpe finger with a wire core however gives an impression of flesh depth
For a doll to mimic a human finger is going to require a level of precision that is not going to happen with the current range of dolls
