I know right!! My guys are definitely some sexy beasts...PilotFancier wrote:Whoa, look at those eyes! And those teeth! Very nice. It's always interesting to me to see how others relate to their fellas, too.
If it isn't too personal, Muesky, what do you mean by the day after he told you his name? Do you feel that you get ideas, words, and emotions from them that you sort of "hear" in a way?
That's sort of similar to how I interact with some of my favorite stuffed animals, so that is why I ask.
And yeah, I will post some pictures of my guy when I get him!
Edit:
Also thanks regarding suggestions for things. My apartment is incredibly small, so, I'm probably a little SOL in terms of building lifts and that. But I do have a spare rolly office chair he can use whenever he wants. Haha.
So weird story.. When I bought Xiel (my first doll, the one without horns), I had already planned on his name being Alexander.. It is the name of a characters in one of the books I am still working on.. But when I got him out of the box, the name didn't fit at all.. For almost a week I tried every male name I knew, even looked up male names, even tried female names.. I was starting to think I had made a mistake and he wasn't really my doll. It was a bit of an ordeal just to get him, I had three different vendors try to scam me..
I had given up and was trying to figure out what I was going to do with this 120lbs doll, as the box was too damaged to save.. Xiel didn't look like he does now, at the time, but this is how I envisioned him looking when I got done with him. I have happily spent well over 100 hours of work, recreate him into the image in my head..
Anyway, I was really sad and upset, so headed out to sit on the back deck to relax and get my head straight, when I hear a voice clear as day say, "My name is Xiel", even had the mental image in my head of how to spell it.. I walked back in and just looked at him, and knew that was his name. I have tried to research the name Xiel, to see if this was a name I might have saw, when researching for some of the stories I am working on, thinking maybe my subconscious was playing tricks on me.. The only place I found the name Xiel is a company that supplies radiology equipment in the UK. So no it wasn't a name I had ever heard let alone seen spelled.. But that is his name.. A beautiful unique name for a beautiful and absolutely unique guy...
Agares (the one with horns) is a whole other story that is a bit more complicated then I want to explain on a public forum.. I love my guys, and am comfortable admitting, as much.. They have brought me so much happiness, joy and comfort... I still don't know how I have survived the last 5 years or so without them..
