Tips for face editing software/apps

Post by A and V »

Hi,
any tips for software or apps with which I can alter the facial expression of my dool (e.g. make her smile). I have tried FaceApp but am not 100% satisfied. Any tips regarding alternatives?

I think Faceapp does wonders, but my doll's face already looks pretty real under the right lighting circumstances.

So far, FaceApp is the best I have experienced.
I only upload head-shots to FaceApp and then use an image editor to merge the results back into my original picture.
As I merge it, I can see all the subtle ways that FaceApp alters that face and not just the smile. They tweek the shape of the eyes, widen the cheeks, change the jawline, etc. All this results in a nice picture.

I only use the free version. However, by using the "Fun" option, you can get access to many paid features.
The fun option lets you use any feature and also lets you download it.
The image quality may not be as good, but since I am uploading only a headshot, the resulting file merges nicely back into the original picture.

Thanks,
scooter

After a couple of months playing with different apps, here are my suggestions: viewtopic.php?f=144&t=137419

I used the Motion Portrait demo to make this, (audio didn't come from their site).

FaceApp has to be the easiest piece of software I’ve used for face editing on my photos. Adding hairstyles, hair colours and different smiles and makeup that would take ages in Photoshop is done in seconds. It also enhances your dolls personality in a huge way.

Maybe try some masks in instagram or snapchat? Personally don't like them, but instead of manual photoshop edit, why not?
