Why is this face not on the "looks too young to be on DF " list???? Even the pigtails are meant to represent a pre-teen.
If there is any Male or female adult who doesnt equate this look to a 12 year old girl I would be very surprised.

I disagree. This face is clearly meant to appeal to those of us that like the Anime aesthetic. In fact, there is a sticky is this forum that explicitly states this: viewtopic.php?f=261&t=90200

The face, and especially the blond hair with pigtails, were most likely based on the character Maria Rose from the Dead or Alive video games. You can read about this fictional character here if you are so inclined https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_D ... Marie_Rose.

The Anime aesthetic is very popular in many eastern countries so it's no surprise a Chinese company like Sanhui would create a face for those that want a doll with that type of look. Even mature characters in anime tend to have the same look. For example, this is Yasuko Takasu, the 30-something mother of the main character from one of my favorite Anime, Toradora:

In my opinion, the Anime aesthetic has nothing to do with an underage look. It is just an aesthetic that is especially popular in many eastern countries and increasingly in some western countries and there is plenty of demand for dolls that have this type of look. Real humans don't look like Anime characters so a doll is the closest many people can get to fulfilling their romantic fantasies with an anime character.

Looking great! I noticed that's implanted hair as well, looks very natural. Very interesting to see that hair color on her. She could make a great Asuka too

Don't be stupid. It's a classic Sanhui head based on Marie Rose as mentioned above. If pigtails makes you sweat and nervous then there is something seriously wrong with you.

she looks amazing........what a body and cute face. enough with the underage face crap already......she has freaking pigtails and an adult face.......DOESNT MAKE HER A CHILD. Great job Sanhui. Keep up,the good work and keep making cute faces like this cuz most of us love and appreciate them for what they are.......cute doll faces.....nothing more.

Yes, a great looking doll!
I already have 4 lovely heads for my SH158:- nos. 2,4,5 &7

Although I have other choices I'd like to have in my collection, perhaps with this new body, no.8 would still be a 3rd on my list.

As for pigtails....
Well, one of my daughters, already well into her 30's, still does her hair with them occasionally...

The implanted hair looks really good - it might even be the best I've seen from any manufacturer to be honest. The hairline looks very natural - I've seen a few where it sort of looks too straight.

Personally, I don't think the Marie head looks too young, but her face does look younger here than in some other sets. I don't think it's the pigtails, but maybe the makeup is different.

Marya head #8 is gorgeous. When fitted with eyes of light iris color it perfectly replicates the intended anime/cgi look of quite a few beloved japanese game characters.

The dark iris eyes chosen for this photoshoot makes the eyes seem smaller, especially with the high contrast light skin. The rest of the face then seems bigger from this contrast (and more puffy-faced young) which I think triggered jazzman.

Hmm...yea...I get the gamer/anime arguments.. but my first thought was she looks 15-16.. and some of us arent located in the Asia's where a more youthful appearance and anime artistry is more widely common and accepted. In a time when crackdowns and enforcements are on the rise in some countries; "authoritive entities" that might look at this specific configuration.. aren't likely thinking.. "now that's a cool anime looking naked female body that someone can have sex with". Its just my useless opinion obviously. Just saying to be careful because its crazy times. That said the photos are nice.. (but of course my negative opinion totally negates the compliment.)

Truly a lovely doll.

I too can clearly see the anime aesthetic, but then I have been watching anime ever since Voltron came out in the mid-'80s. I think it is the bangs that make it look like anime. That hairline is common in quite a few characters.

By the way, I don't know how much faith people on here put in how-old.net but I ran the attached screen capture through it and it said that the doll appears to be 20.

That's just my two cents on the matter...
