Doll - a book coming out about a man and his love doll

I saw this and thought it was quite interesting - the book is due to be released later this month.

The story is written in two halves - one written from the Doll's point of view and one from the owner/purchaser guy. I have to admit, when I heard about it, I wasn't expecting much, but the excerpts are well written and interesting. It doesn't seem to be bashing owners like most media and is quite philosophical.

I thought some might find it intriguing - it definitely seems better than most doll related media out there. It is about a Realdoll and there's actual details of the order process and options etc, so it seems the author definitely did his research!

I might just need to order this. It has me intrigued for sure and may inspire me to write a book of my own, based on a female human with male dolls point of view.

Is this book going to be self published? It sounds like it might be interesting, and seems to read more like a novel than anything else.

I'd love to see someone publish a manual, along the lines the "Dolls for Dummies", the basic - but detailed - series of manuals for all manner of topics. Actually, I'm surprised no one has not yet done it... have they?

I think he has an actual publisher, so I think there will be proper print copies. It is a novel, not a real life story, so I'm not sure what actually happens in the end or anything. If you want more info, you'll have to poke around on his website and see what you can find. I just saw it on UKLDF and shared it here, so I don't have much information myself.

After the delivery was postponed I got the book last week and read it this weekend. It´s written very well, but be warned, it´s not a romantic story with a happy end. I was deeply sad at the end of the first, the doll, part but sorry for the guy in the end anyhow. If you want something to read to your lady take the fingers off it but if you want to read a well written piece of literature on a doll and a guy, go ahead, I liked it, I hope you will, too.
