Sounds like a plan Stef. Just be sure its vented.

"90-94% by weight of said plasticizing oil"
"The SEPS is highly extended with oil such as mineral oil, so the ratio of SEPS to oil is carefully controlled to simulate the tactile feel of flesh. White mineral oil, naphthenic oils, and synthetic oils such as Shellflex.RTM. 371, manufactured by Shell Chemical Co. are preferred. Other oils include petroleum paraffinic oils, petroleum naphthenic oils, synthetic polybutene oils, synthetic polypropene oils, synthetic polyterpene oils and mixtures thereof. "

So it seems to be by weight mostly oil.

Patents don't have to work in order to be granted. I am not chemically illeterate but that is something i am never going to pull off.

Thermoplast, for instance PE, melts when heated. Plastic in dishwasher.
Thermodur doesn't, bakelite wallsocets, short circuit stinks to high heaven.
Fairly easy to see the difference.

Two of my favorites The Mythbuster and Kari.
Miss Byron starred in the episode vacuum airplane toilet.
The lucky devils made a copy of Karis butt out of hotmelt.
They took the ready to use stuff out of gallon drums and just melted and poored what they wanted. The device must have terrific heat control because there weren't any fumes.
Safety?
Mythbusters and safety  Yes Kari perhaps.

I melt in covered non stick pan in the oven untill smooth, bubbles have surfaced and popped or spooned off, have mold can ready, heat resistant gloves, a big pot of cold water to place it in after pouring and skinned on top.I fill mold can half way then lower in a preheated one of these(pictured below...I've made several different of steel which seperates easily from the melted then cooled cyberskin etc) to a prescribed depth and hold till starts to firm, top off due to cooling shrinkage, then lower into pot of ice water for an hour or so,peel and enjoy.

Looks like a mix of lathe work and grinding polishing.
If you can trust the reading of the termostat of the oven it sound perfect.
Electric i presume.

Just out of curiosity, does the use of an oven leave a lasting impression from the fumes? Meaning... if you cook food in that same oven will it have a bad taste or smell or leave behind potentially dangerous chemicals that would absorb into food?

Also, how does melting and then reformed fleshlight material react? Is it more tacky or does it maintain it's original "feel"? Does it shrink as it cools? What materials are good to use for mold purposes?

I used gas oven.275-325?
pan was covered to keep fumes in pan.
Take out,uncover,check n stir lumps,recover and
return to oven(10 min intervals),as soon as smooth
pour.If over heated or melted a third time I think
it will turn out tacky.Does not stick to steel well,so
use a steel can to pour into and steel insert center
mold holding it in one place an inch up from bottom
of can,top off as it shrinks n cools. For mold can use
a food can bottom 1.5 inches tall, cut the top n bottom
out of a larger diameter can and cut it lengthwise so
it can wrap around the bottom can thus overlapping
itself by at least an inch, use 3 auto hose clamps,
one at bottom, middle and one around top to hold
over lapped can in place. When completely cooled,
remove clamps and gentely remove can wrap then
the 1.5 inch tall bottom can, then work on getting the
inside steel mold out by rolling it off of it slowly, carefully.

Sorry late response
maybe pics later

PS...Do not use glass and read all previous posts in
conjunction with this one for all the details and options.
Go ahead.....make my Doll!

I love Mythbusters, and mightily covet their instant access to all kinds of fascinating materials. I covet Kari, too, but then, who doesn't?

Tried to melt a piece of Fleshlight and a piece of Salsa Shaker with the use of a microwave. Just put it straight in.
Both did not melt.
I know i am a lousy cook but this is ridiculous.
Did i mis some au bain mairie information of some sort.

Maybe now that Stef is back from Japan he can write a follow up on his findings on the Fleshlight shavings and the Unison brick

The Mythbuster are using new material, This is much safer.
Hot melt is a pourable when new.
in a solid state its much more unsafe. still can be done.
Mythbuster is a show you can get a lot of info from.

you may have to use some new material to help with making the the solid melt.
