This topic has been on my mind for a while now... actually, ever since the beginning of my Doll-Life here on TDF. I've always spent a lot of time in the forest. Most of my adult life, I've imagined having sexy companions to walk with, photograph and have fun with. Seldom was this dream even close to realization...

Thanks for dropping by everyone! I'll be posting up my first new forest adventure soonish...
There won't be many more days like this... 55 and clear at sunrise, clouds gathering mid morning and light rain following soon after... Perfect.
But most people won't think so... and that's precisely why I do. It's because they will stay home or go shopping or do anything else but go to the forest... and my tiny loves and I will have it all to ourselves...

Whew... that's a relief. It's hard to tell with Minxes whether or not I've offended them. They do seem to like to mess with my head...
Unlike Cedar, Ta'rah actually walks alongside me...instead of scampering off and popping up randomly. Really... Ta'rah sets our pace... which could only be described as meandering...

I couldn't agree more. It's wonderful having Ta'rah here to slow me down and force me to pay attention. There is so much going on in the forest right now. It could only be described as lush. Everything is green. And the leaves are perfect... the kind of perfect they are before all the bugs of summer start chewing on them... Ha!

We continued our meander through the waking morning forest and thus far... my weather assessment has held true... not a single other person was out here.

Cedar told me before I needed to bring snacks for the chipmunks if I wanted to get anywhere with them. Of course... I didn't, but Ta'rah sat with me anyway and chattered casually with the chipmunks hidden from my view...

And she was off... like lightning. I'd forgotten how quick Ta'rah could move... our pace today had been so deliberate and measured. Fortunately, I knew just where she was going. There was a row of ancient oaks, spared from the axe by some farmer using them to mark the edge of his property. One oak was particularly massive. It had to be at least 3 centuries old...

Off we went to the meadow... leaving the giggling chipmunks behind. I swear she taught them how to say "too big" before we left... sigh...
While the laughter of the chipmunks died off... Ta'rah led me out into the meadow. It was all green now, but it was black a couple months ago. They had done a controlled burn here to help bring back native vegetation. I had to look hard now to see any of the burnt areas..

I know milkweed is important to Ta'rah. She uses the seed pods to make her clothes and I remembered she made a "hear stick" from it also..
Yes... the majestic and astounding Monarch butterfly... a true wonder if the earth. Soon this meadow would be fully flowering and feeding thousands of butterflies...

We drifted through the meadow... noting the flowers to come back and see... and reached the edge of the marshy woods. Ta'rah stopped and directed my attention ahead...

Maybe... It makes sense that orchids are here. This whole area we are entering is a spring fed boggy forest. What else have I been missing?

Loving the flow of the new thread! Nature sure is a wonderful place if you take the time to enjoy it. Having lovely ladies to travel with is always a great thing too.

Ta'rah led me deeper into the forest... and I finally encountered my first mosquito. This was another reason I considered today's weather to be perfect. It was cool enough for me to wear long pants and sleeves and for the mosquitoes to be sluggish. As I mentioned... this place is boggy and it's typically very mosquito dense during the Spring and Summer...

As I'm sure you can see from the photos, the clouds had moved in completely and drizzle was starting to fall. Still, we continued deeper into the forest... there was a marsh and lake at the end of this trail and it drew us like a magnet...

Indeed... The carnivorous pitcher plants were in full bloom and looking... well... quite bloody... Yikes!

We reached the lake at the farthest away spot on the trail precisely when the rain began in earnest. It wasn't a miserable rain... light and steady, as promised. Certainly I didn't mind it... but I knew there would be no more photos. Even tho my camera is advertised as "weather resistant", there was no way I was going to risk it. Besides... I'd already shot a ton of pics...

Yes... this day was a walk to remember. Ta'rah and I had spent nearly 6 hours wandering around together and we didn't encounter one single other person... ever...

Thanks Victor and Kevin! I hope this little thread will encourage me to get a few more Minxes out in the wilds with me... and help me "finish" the Pixies who've been waiting too long for their time in the sun!
