Adult Store Dolls

Does anyone know about legality of sex dolls in different states? I can't find a retailer in Ohio. The nearest one on Google maps is in Virginia, almost 400 miles away. I learned to not buy things unless I see them and touch them first. Shame the adult stores are so lagging behind. Why is that?

Because there is very little money to be made for opening a physical store for sex dolls. People are already going into to Best Buy to pick their electronics, then buying on Amazon to save money. A physical store would have to charge about twice the price as an online store. And there are so many dolls, you can't carry everything someone may want.

Sex dolls are not illegal in any state, unless they appear to be under 18, and then only in seven states, and Ohio isn't one of those.

Generally speaking. The ones that I have seen in adult stores. Are way overpriced. And are complete trash. Just my opinion.

Yeah good luck trying to find a doll in person to look at beforehand. Showrooms exist but are very rare, and likely to be in high population areas like NYC or LA. The vast majority of us on here bought our dolls without seeing them in person. It's part of why reviews and user photos are so important.

I get it, I'm definitely going to compare the price elsewhere, but to see them for myself and compare the features, that's what the retailers are for.

I get it, I'm definitely going to compare the price elsewhere, but to see them for myself and compare the features, that's what the retailers are for.

You could always try find a collector that’s local to you. Maybe they will let you come look at their dolls. That’s kind of what I did. Who knows they may even have some for sale.

Not sure how far you're willing to travel...

I think I remember seeing that one of the Canadian vendors and one of the vendors in California will let you come and see the dolls. They have a large in-stock inventory of dolls. They only sells dolls so there's no dildos, vibrators, porn mags etc.

Oh, and I think Ricky of the Doll Channel would let you take a tour. He was charging a fee (maybe $50) just to keep out the time-wasters. Provided you bought a doll, he took the fee off of the price.

I know he was losing a lot of time with this so he may not offer it anymore.

Welcome to TDF Sergey.

To put it simply, there's way too many variables (such as customisation options) and dolls available for a physical sex doll store to be viable. If a store were to carry every single doll with every combination of options, they'd easily have over 100,000 dolls
