TPE Maintenance - Baby Oil Alternative

Since the main ingredient in baby oil is mineral oil, I decided to purchase a gallon of USDA authorized white mineral food grade oil online back in Sept 2020 with my first doll (WM 162E). A standard paint brush from the hardware store works well to even out the application when the body is on the heavy duty metal clothes rack.

A gallon sounds like a lot of mineral oil! How much have you used so far?

I've only used a third of a gallon so far in the past 4 years. Gallon was all that was available for purchase at the time.

I've had my TPE princess for over 6 years. I'm on my 2nd bottle of baby oil and it's still half full. Don't overdo it.

I apply the mineral oil about every other month. I apply a thin layer by brush. If the oil is fully absorbed on a portion of the body within 15 minutes, I then apply another thin layer of oil to those areas. After that I let the body rest on the metal clothes rack in the neutral factory position for a day, then apply powder.
