WHAT? This is hilarious...

Hey Everybody, late last year I purchased a doll and wow, it's just been awesome. It was a Zelex doll, and just wonderful - the J SLE model. But one thing has always just made me laugh about Zelex. Has anyone noted the hilariously huge cup size that Zelex puts on models like the newest 5'4" model (picture attached) is classified as an F CUP ? Are you serious!!! This is SO funny. Of course anyone can look at the picture before buying and know that it's a B cup, but why do they do this?

I noticed this too. But it looks like lots of manufacturers inflate the cup size numbers. I commented about this in another discussion. But yeah -- this is a large B, maybe a small C.

I've noticed some other manufacturers do this as well, but just not to the extent of Zelex. Zelex just takes it to a new level. That's just downright puzzling what the reasoning is... Sorry, my buddy and I just had a good time laughing about this this morning.

From the statistics I could find on the Zelex 165X, the bust measurement is 89cm and band size is 67.5cm (https://cloudclimax.co.uk/product/zelex ... head-ge81/).
Put that in bra size calculator gives 26 FF(UK) or H(USA):
https://www.calculator.net/bra-size-cal ... x=Calculat

Possible alternative sizes might be 28F or 30E (https://www.amplebosom.com/blog/bra-adv ... -band-size)

Perhaps to an Asian manufacturer, anything above "B" is huge :)

Before discussing bra sizes, you should first determine which sizing system you use. China, as far as i know, uses the european system. Based in the stated measurements, she would have a bra size of 70E, on the border to a 70F. Therefore, there is no exaggeration. This is however not the same as an american F-cup, which to my understanding would be larger. The european system does not use double letters and simply runs A, B, C, D, E and so on, with each letter indicating a +2 cm difference between bust and underbust size.

This. A lot of dolls are labeled as BBW, but they only have huge breasts with an average size butt to us westerners.

I've seen some sites where the dolls are so clearly small-breasted and the letter is still a D or an F. I've also seen sites where they categorize the dolls by more universal references like "small breasts," "medium breasts," and "large breasts," and it's still off. I don't think that kind of inflation because of the Asian market.

It doesn't matter anyway, since I am always going to look at the photos, and I learned to ignore the stated numbers.

This is something I get asked on our chat all the time. I think it is because we are used to seeing celebrities, athletes, pornstars etc who have very similar body sizes and the breast size is the thing that changes - so its a very obvious difference between a B, C, D, E - the breasts get bigger and the torso is similar sized. Easy. However that's not how it actually works :o

If you have a look at this image, these are all the same breast size - the same volume, but they can be A's on one person's body and D's on another.

Crazy right.

The USA and EU measurements are usually only about one cup size out of synch, and only once you go past D, because USA recognizes DD as a cup instead of moving to E. USA goes to E after DD, and Euro goes straight from D to E.

You can see this in the image below - again all same breast size, but different torso dimensions, the DD is captioned below it. Sometimes the US also follow DD, DDD, and DDDD to make it more confusing.

So my theory is, since we're so used to seeing a size 0 model woman in every breast size we think we know how breast sizes should look relative to the cup. However it is just not this simple. So yes absolutely that is an F cup and it will return approximately an F cup on most bra calculators you use, no matter whether we like it or not!

Here's a good example of what I mean, we are so used to looking at the bottom row only which is a very obvious linear progression. So as guys we think we know how cup sizes work based on this bottom row, but the other two rows show we do not and it's just one of those magical female business things with several factors at play   Hope this helps someone!! If you ever want to discuss it further Im available on our chat most nights - I have a good link for bra calculations.

That's a great response, demystifying the whole boob size confusion - it deserves a wider audience!

I just look at the models and ignore the stated "cup size."

Another aspect of this is the breast shape. Depending on that, the size can also seem different.

Well shoot. I had sister sizing figured out but didn't know about "line 2." Explains some purchases that had me scratching my head.

Can we all give dolls a hand for not caring about "comfort" and "fit"?

I second that, just finding something that looks right is a chore, comfortable fit would have been a totally different story, but they don't complain. Another reason to love your doll :)
