Head skin texture technology

Post by ClimaxDoll »

CLM(climax doll) is pleased to share the comprehensive plan for the entire process of creating head textures, aimed at deepening doll enthusiasts' understanding and appreciation of head textures. The manufacturing process of head textures involves multiple specialized procedures, including design and 3D modeling, digital manufacturing techniques, and head texture printing.

1.Design and 3D Modeling:
During the process of 3D modeling the head model, it is crucial to continuously innovate and explore to ensure that the final output exhibits a high level of realism. This requires a deep understanding of head anatomy and facial structure to accurately establish the model's geometry and details. By utilizing professional modeling software such as Rhino, Maya, or Blender, combined with knowledge of anatomy and artistic skills, it is possible to achieve high-precision modeling of the head model, including the head contour, facial features, and expressions.

2.Digital Manufacturing Technology:
Upon completing the modeling process, digital manufacturing technologies like 3D printing can be employed to transform the head model into a physical entity. Throughout this process, it is essential to consider the constraints and characteristics of 3D printing technology, such as printing materials, resolution, and support structures. By selecting appropriate printing parameters and optimizing the model design, it is possible to ensure that the printed head model maintains accuracy and detail.

In conclusion, the process of 3D modeling and digital manufacturing of head models is a complex endeavor that requires a combination of anatomical knowledge, artistic skills, and engineering expertise to ensure that the final output exhibits a high level of realism and accuracy.

3.To add head texture we use the following two techniques:

Clay sculpting technique:
Clay sculpting is a process of hand sculpting using malleable materials such as earth or clay to create the texture and detail of a head model. The process requires sculptural skills and experience to accurately shape the model's various features and expressions. In order to enhance the realism and visual effect of the head skin texture, we adopted the following key technologies:

1.Skin scanning technology:
  • Use a skin scanner or 3D scanning technology to scan real skin to obtain high-precision geometric and texture information. This method is able to effectively capture the complete surface details of skin in a short time and print them onto textured molds using advanced technology.
2.Base treatment:
  • By laying a base on the base, the rough shape and structure of the head are initially shaped and the overall outline of the head is established.
3.Texture mold printing technology:
  • Put the prepared soil into a high-temperature environment for firing, and then use texture mold printing technology to cover the high-temperature soil surface with a texture mold. This makes it easier for the texture mold to print textures on the high-temperature clay. This approach enables more realistic and diverse skin textures.
4.Manual drawing:
  • Since the textures of the head part may not completely overlap, the skin texture needs to be manually drawn manually to simulate better skin details and texture effects.

Particle spray film forming agent technology:
Particle spraying film-forming agent is a specialized technique where a particle-based film substance, containing skin tones and textures, is sprayed onto the surface of a model using dedicated spray equipment.
  • This coating uses a fast film-forming substance, giving it a high density and consistency. Compared with ordinary paint spraying methods, particulate spray film-forming agents can more accurately control the size and distribution of spray particles, thereby presenting a more delicate skin texture and more realistic color effects.
  • We also improved the nozzle design to reduce the spraying pressure, allowing the sprayed liquid to form tiny granular structures on the surface of the silicone mold.
  • Highly realistic and simulated head textures can be achieved in a short time, but require precise spraying techniques and strict control.

These processes require a high level of technical expertise and precision to ensure the authenticity and fidelity of head textures. They enable personalized, customized head textures and provide more realistic and diverse skin effects, thereby enhancing the visual and tactile realism of products.

Finally, due to the complex molding process of clay media molding, clay sculpture requires additional costs. In contrast, the application of particle spraying is cost-effective as it involves the process of applying a coating of particles to a surface without incurring additional expense.
