We're Live!
We're Live!
We are finally live.
There are a couple of things that didn't convert over. One of them is your signature. So it will be necessary for you to recreate it again. But that's pretty easy to do. Just go to:
1) "Your Account"
2) then select "My Info"
3) got to the bottom of the page
4) You'll know what to do then
Something that was a major pain (and I know everyone will take for granted ) is that I have converted all of the links which refer to other posts, although they may not work until the DNS servers have updated with the new IP address.
Anyway, I hope you like the new forum.

Really? Mine did. As you can see, it is in the message, but I didn't do anything.Ishtaria wrote: There are a couple of things that didn't convert over. One of them is your signature.

It looks great!
Nice work Ish.
Radical!
I'm sure it took a lot of work on your part - much appreciated and to everyone else that was involved, also a big thumbs up!

I think that someone who puts so much work into this (without getting paid) deserves to get a doll for free! - and I don't mean a $24.95 barbie doll.
I like the new emoticons by the way . The only thing which is a bit of a pity is that the subjects of the postings in the most recent posts list(see "Forum Posts" on the left side of the screen) are truncated. If you could fix that, this forum would be purrrrfect!
Is there a limit to the number of posts that stay in this recent posts list?
The Forum Posts block (they call these "blocks") is actually something taht I wrote. I have the subject truncated because if they get too long they keep rapping. Or worse, if somebody somes something like "LAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAALAAA" it pushes the screen over until the line ends. There is a limit to how long a subject line can be, but it is long enough that sombody could screw things up.
I can shorten the "Forum Posts" list. Does anybody have any suggestions on how many entries would be best?
Thanks
Ish
