My wife died tonight.

Although I'm new here and I don't have a significant other I can understand the situation U are thru, not easy I must admit, sincere condolences to U, and U have another good friend here in TDF, me.

I don't know how to sound intelligent because I know there are no words to make U feel better, I just wanted to express my solidarity in the moment

From what you've shared here at TDF about your wife's condition before, I know that you were well aware this moment would come, yet even when it's expected, it's got to be so tough on one's heart.

I wish to offer my sincerest and heartfelt condolences.

The loss of a soul mate is the most devastating thing that can happen to anyone. Believe me, I still miss K as strongly as ever... and it has been 4 years, 4 months, and 18 days since she passed.

If you need someone to talk to, I will be more than willing. I do not know what else to offer, but know that this offer comes from someone who has experienced that loss himself.

I lost my mother earlier this year she was not only my mother but a wonderful friend.

As a friend of mine said shortly after my old mother died in 1995, "She's always there." I guess he meant that those who are gone stay with us as memories. Not a very profound observation, but I feel it is one of the most important facets of what separates humans from all other known forms of life.

Those ideas do not make the pain of loss easier to bear, of course.

I am so sad to hear of your loss. My wife of 25 years (the love of my life) passed four years ago and I know how you feel. Even though it still hurts, I feel so lucky for being able to have had one true love in my life. Many people never get that chance.
