Five minutes later...

Post by Maotouying »

Well, just put in my order for a torso and I'll be getting her a face and a name later if it turns out this is for me. Anywink, five minutes after putting my order in I get a call from the credit card company:

"Hiiiiiii, it's Brad with X security. Just calling to confirm that you've authorized a payment to Phoenix Studios. Is this a company you trust?"

"Yep, I did. Yep, it is."

"And is that for... photos?"

"Nope  "

"... ?"

"... ?"

"Oooookay, well I just wanted to make sure you were aware."

And since that call I've been thinking, "Oh, god! What have I done?" Is that something everyone asked themselves after their first big doll purchase? It's a testin'-the-waters kinda thing, but what if I don't like the water?? I'm not too worried, since I've only ever heard one person say they thought it'd be their thing and then found out it wasn't, but holy jeepers is it ever a scary thought. I feel guilty when I buy fancy chocolates! Is this just part of the process?

Thanks a bunch, guys!

lol, interested i can relate to this. Before i got my doll, i wanted to test the waters going in an out the forums looking for one that fit my interest. When i finally got mine i was in at least a fifteen minute back and forward argument with myself of if i should get it or not. I would say to myself "do i really want this?" an"what is this doesn't work out" .When i made the purchase, i had that guilty feeling "it's done no turning back", eventually i just became anxious for my doll to arrive that and i was nerves. Personally, it was one of the best choices I've ever made.

Grats on your purchase =P

Whew! I'm hoping there're more stories comin', but that's a huge load off already. I was so sure until the magnitude of the purchase was thrown into my ear with that damn phone call. I've wanted one forever, been givin' 'em the glad eye for even longer and been saving for a year. But I don't have the space to discreetly store a full sized doll. A torso, however, I think I can do. So I figured I'd dip into the full-lady fund and get me a half-lady until my circumstances are more accommodating. And after making that decision I was like, "Yeah. Yeah! That's a solid decision, self."

And then I was like, "EVERY DECISION WAS WRONG!!!"

I'm second guessing every decision but one. I've got no doubts about the quality of the product or service. Those guys have an amazing reputation for being professional and helpful. Even if they didn't make (what I've heard are) the best products available, they still seem like the kind of people that everyone should want to do business with.

Whether it's the best decision I've ever made or the worst, I'm excited to finally know.

Hi Maotouying, you´ll know you made the right decision when she´home with you. I have to confess I never doubted my decision to get Brigitte or Martine. When I bought an apartement with my ex-wife it was something different. Cost me more than a doll, right, and I had to loan a lot of money from the banks. I hd the money to get my ladies though.
Well, my apartement is sold, I don´t own the banks a cent anymore, I live in a rented apartement again and I´m divorced. But my ladies are with me and they will stay with me, making me happy every day.
Do you think I ask myself what the better "investment" was?
I´d do it again and again.

I took months trying to decide on my first purchase, and months worrying before the delivery, but a very short time after delivery to know it was a good thing. Phoenix is reliable, and makes a great product, so if you are going to jump in, you picked the best end of the pool for your entry. Best of luck.

I think many of us have had second thoughts after placing such an expensive order for the first time.
Not just for a love doll, but for other things as well.

I can only guess that's natural, as it's a lot of money you had to work hard for.

Some people find out dolls are not for them when the doll arrives, that's the sad reality, but I surely hope you won't be one of them :D

Mr. Hubbie, I getchya. If the reality turns out to be anything like what it is in my head then I've got no doubt that I'll be feeling the exact opposite of regret. The reality that I imagine is... I dunno. I guess the best way to say it is: I think of it like I'm buying a house for a part of my personality. Which is why it not working out is a pretty heartbreaking thought. I like me. I like my things. I especially like the things that let me do what I couldn't do without them, like an instrument or a car. Dolls, like instruments or cars, seem to live on a scale that ranges from toy to wife.

Deerman, the pictures of your lady waiting in bed with a bottle of Jack were genuinely heartwarming and fucking brilliant. I prep my coffee for the morning, but this isn't something I would've thought to do. Thank you for something else to look forward to.

Thanks to everyone who's responded.

Hi Maotouying, I´m sure with your way of thinking everything will turn out just great. She´ll become a part of your fantasy and your reality if you let her. It happened to me. Brigitte and I are together for two and a half years now and we got closer and closer the more I accepted her as a personality and companion. I ahdn´t imagined that at the start, she was just a love doll at first although she was a model with me taking pics of her from day one. She grew into her role as my wife as she became what I had missed, a lover, a friend, a wife, a confident. If you let her she can become everything you want her to become. I hope for you it works out as good as it has for me.

I have thrown away my hard earned money on women all my life. All the investments never paid up. Dating is to stocks as hookrs n lapdances are to casinos, you will have fun depositing your money in only one.

Not all the blowup dolls i have ever had are worth a single silicone/tpe doll. If i had learned all this when i was much younger then i would have wasted less money

A similar thing happened after paying Private Island Beauties. A girl was on the phone asking if it was me who paid Private Islands from my Visa. She asked me what it was and I said,

"Silicone mannequin", and she laughed. She asked, "Will you be making more payments to Private Islands?". I said "Nope, I like variety". She laughed more and we said our goodbyes.
Hey just tell her like it is. :haha4:

I bought mine RD1 on the secondary market, but even with saving about 50% off a brand new doll, I experienced some buyers remorse... until I was able to actually get my doll home! Once she was actually mine and in my house, any thoughts of regret dissipated.

I will say that it will be easier to form an attachment to your torso once she has a face. Looking into my doll's eyes is what made me realize I had made a good decision in spending the thousands of $ on a doll. So if you don't feel the torso by itself is for you, it may be because of that. The BT torsos are a great first-time option because they are high-quality, beautiful, and inexpensive. But that's because the head and face are separate purchases. Once you have a face, your doll will take on a personality!
Good luck!
