Crude Plush Dolls

Afternoon all,

One idea I've been thinking about was getting into actual plush doll making, driven mainly by seeing other projects on the forum and a general want to have something to sleep next to at night without having to buy another doll (still saving up for a good silicone doll).

Having no background in making designs from scratch, I decided to just pick a fabric and see what I could make quickly over the weekend without worrying too much about quality. It just has to kind of look like a woman / female / humanoid thing with a full body and a sexual opening.

The result of less than two days of work was an alien-type doll with odd proportions, but turned out not as bad I thought it would (though anything better would require some actual proper designing).

The doll was made using $10 USD worth of white velour fabric and some basic polyester thread. Measures roughly 100cm and has no internal skeleton. Features soft breasts, a 5" vaginal canal, ten fingers, and Teddy Babe eyes.

The overall process of making a doll from scratch was actually enjoyable, so I'll continue to make these small plush sex dolls for fun and practice, and hopefully sometime later will offer them for sale on the forum once I get to a point where they look half-decent.

Hope the endeavor works out for you. There is certainly a market for affordable cuddle/ sex dolls.

Nice job. I like plush dolls over silicone dolls. I've found through trial and error that Plush dolls are way easier to take care of. And also a lot lighter than silicone. I own a few Plush dolls, some bought, some custom made by amazing craftsman builder. There definitely is a market for custom made plush love dolls. Good luck with your journey.

Thanks BTB, I'm sure someone will find that little alien appealing enough to buy her.

Unfortunately I am nowhere near the level to accept professional work just yet. I can modify existing designs, but making them from nothing is tough on me.

If I ever do custom dolls, it will be after I get a good design down and buy a sewing machine. Making a doll by just hand sewing is exhausting, even more so if it doesn't look right after you get the part of the body you're making done.

I can't wait to mod her out. Thanks for this cute little doll!!! She will have a great home here with us at the 78 house. What kind of velour is it that you used? I will be looking to buy it if you have any advice on where to purchase the velour

The fabric used is plain white velour, the same material the older Teddy Babes deluxes were made from. You can find the fabric in chain stores like Walmart and many crafts stores that carry fabric rolls should have it as well.

The material is strong and durable and does not stretch, and is fairly easy to work with by hand or using a machine (I've been told).

What a great product.

While there are lots of good quality plush and fabric dolls already on the market that compete against one another, the market for cheap dolls of such make is very lacking. If you could increase the quality just very slightly with maybe a cheap wig and some lips, I could see you selling lots of these.

That's one interesting project. I always wanted to try building something at this level, be it a plush doll or something 3D printed, everything goes as long as the building process is fast.
You have lots of potential. Don't stop here.

Already started making designs for my next attempt. Once I'm happy with the final design and finish the plush I'll post pictures and a sale link if I decide to sell it.
