How many silicon dolls have tears? 100%? 50%? Less?

Post by zorro6204 »

Does anyone have a gut feel for how prevalent tearing is with silicone dolls? It seems to be relatively frequent, but then of course no one posts about the non-repair they didn't make, so it could be like the TV news, only the bad gets reported. Just curious, thanks.

Zorro,

I can only speak on my experiences with my dolls, but here is what I think about dolls tearing.

original post:
RealDoll -- 100% have tears --The scarry thing is that you can tear this doll and not even know it. She lost half a finger over a year ago and I haven't found it to this day.

Revised post:
RealDoll -- 90+% have tears -- Being that this is the Ultimate doll and the most real, it is more fragile than other dolls as this doll is a work of art.

SuperBabe -- 15% or less have tears -- This doll can go to HELL and back in one peice. She is really hard to put a tear in. My doll has been around the block a time or 2 (I am the 4th owner) and it has one major tear in the arm 1/2 inch that has not spread and it looks like someone stabbed her with a knife.

CandyGirl Latex -- 0% tears -- If you can tear this doll you have dropped her off a building into the traffic below.

CybOrgasMatrix -- 0% tears -- The only way to tear this doll is by doing it on purpose. Other dolls can and will MELT this doll.

FancyPleasure Doll -- 0% have tears -- This doll has somewhat of a silicone feel but I think she is some type of polymer like the S18, only NO seams splitting on this doll.

S18 -- 100% have tears -- This doll can have a tear and you won't know it till after the action is done. They will all get a tear on the seams, but they are easy to fix.

HustlerVirtualGirl -- 0% have tears -- One tough doll. The COM doll will melt her.

I included dolls other than silicone as the COM doll has the real feel to her and the S18 is a nice flexable fun frolicking doll.

I hope this sheds a little light on the doll tear thing.

This is the second time I have seen this 100% figure. It is not quite true. Taze has never had a tear of any size, and she is a year old now.

Admittedly, I am having a problem with her neck joint right now, but that has nothing to do with the silicone.

JR,

Yes, you are a seasoned owner that knows how to take care of such a work of art. Many here don't have the experience that you have with this doll including myself.

Yes, the RealDoll is the Rolls Royce of dolls. And with the Beauty of this doll comes the fragility of the doll that all should be aware of and the fact that most of the tears this doll has are very easy to fix. Not to mention the great support you get from the Manufacturer of this doll.

I am just trying to GUESSTAMATE the truth of tears for all dolls I own, as that is all I can really tell anyone about.

I should then change the % based on your opinion on the RealDoll from 100% tears to 90+%.

I have two body seven Realdolls without any tearing that are nearly two years old and the newer Realdolls are better.
If you cut silicone or stress compression marks then you will have a tear in any silicone doll. It has nothing to do with the manufacturer but a property of silicone.

Just take care of your doll..

Thanks Bill, that's the kind of experience I was looking for. I was concerned that silicone dolls would pretty much rip no matter what.

Rachel has torn and keeps tearing, but then I use her for sex, not as an art object even tho I do very much appreciate the art and looks of her .
The tears are easily repairable but do not seem to last all that long, perhaps a "poll" would be a good way of finding out the % of people who have or have not experianced tears and the circumstances under which they occur, just a thought.

Hi All,

I think Quatlox is right.
If she's used much for sex, then she'll suffer from it, and will develop tears.
Althoug, there are a lot of members here who use the doll sometimes for sex and have the doll also in a very good condition.
But ... I'll try to take care and "use" her not too often for the ... sexual action...

My experience with Kara

Post by sarge521 »

I had Kara for only a few months. Sold her because of my probable redeployment overseas. In my time that I had her she did not tear. I used her once. It was a bit awkward and took a lot longer for everything than I thought.

She had what I'll call a broken ankle. Received it like that from Abyss. They graciously sent me a repair kit free of charge but I didn't want to mess with it.

Shipped her to the buyer in Europe. He reported that the crate was torn open. I used the original crate and was very careful in packing her. The face was found on the floor of the crate with one eyeball scratched up. Shoulder had tearing and damage. Broken ankle had poked out of the skin. I had placed brand new sexy red boots on her feet to try to prevent that.

Took longer to ship than expected. If you are not a 'Known' shipper it cannot ship on a plane that has passengers. Thank Osama for that.

Overall he is happy to have her and not angry. Asked if he wanted me to fight for some insurance damage claim but we both agreed it would be embarrassing to fight.

Bottom line is that I thought she was a work of art but I would have enjoyed her more if she was lighter and more durable.

Oh well, that's not so good. I'm not in the artwork camp, I want to boink it on a daily basis, at least. Fortunately the doll uses an insert, so there won't be the direct wear and tear, so to speak, but obviously I'll have to be careful.

A poll? Sounds good, but it shouldn't come from me, I don't have the standing on the board to propose it. I was hoping I'd receive responses that said "don't worry, I use it frequently and it's never had a tear, just be careful".

Wish I was wealthier, then I could just have the girls come in every day instead of every week. Let's see, I pay them $300 regardless of their stated rate, so that would be . . . $109,500 in escort fees. In that context, maybe going through a doll every year doesn't sound so bad!

If and only if a finger poking out the end is not considered a tear as such - then Darlene has no tears. She is two weeks short of a year old.

Actually... you can create a poll any time you want. When you are making a post... look at the area under the text box. That's what it is there for. Enter a topic, then an answer. Then hit add option and add another. Keep going until you have all the options. Then hit post.

That's all you need to do.

Overall he is happy to have her and not angry. Asked if he wanted me to fight for some insurance damage claim but we both agreed it would be embarrassing to fight.
Damn it people... if you spent $5000 on a used car and it showed up with the front fender kicked in you would sure as hell sue someone. Don't be a pussy. You paid the shipper in good faith to deliver your item. It doesn't matter what the hell that item is. Dammit... fight for your rights.

I went through the airport with a doll in my carry on. They said, "we need to search". I said "Have at it." They looked, they saw. No big deal... you are not the only person to ever have a doll. Insurance companies deal with strange shit all the time. In fact... they probably would have given you $6,000 just to keep it quiet. So he could have probably gotten a completely new doll from the factory.

Quote me on this...
Don't be a pussy! Fight for your rights!
If you don't stick up for yourself nobody else will either. Don't let people take advantage of you. Bill sold his Joy doll with the blinking eyes. A one-of-a-kind masterpeice. When she was delivered the asshole at the warehouse had run the fork of the forklift through the box and had ripped right into her chest... all the way through. Then they said, "Oh Fuck" and put her on the truck sideways with another box in front so nobody would notice.

Do you think Bill just sat there and said, "Gee too bad."

HELL NO!

He called the insurance company and had a new doll delivered to the guy. Why do you think you PAY for insurance??? Use it!

The shipper doesn't simply hand you a check after reported damage. There has to be damage to the crate or container otherwise it is a packing problem and not their fault. You have to prove value as well but the manufacturer can provide this information like Matt did for me.
Be prepared for the process to last months because shippers are defrauded all the time plus they hope that you will go away.
