I'm beginning to think the percentage is pretty high. I have a PIB spinner that has vag tears and finger pokes that started pretty much from day one. The manufacturers really need to step up their game. These dolls cost thousands and should be able to do what they were designed for just like anything else. Nuff said.

What exactly defines a tear? Does this mean the silicone skin is split open like a gash or just something like a hairline tear that you only would notice if the material is spread.

This thread refers to old Tin cured silicone.

Modern Platinum silicone is different and much more robust.

For the current enquiry you can clean the whole area with acetone. Then use Permatex flowable windshield silicone sealant. Put some on the end of a pin or screwdriver and insert it in the cut all the way along. Wipe off the excess in the direction of closing the wound rather than against. Stretch clingfilm over the top.

I just came across this thread (just joined TDF in December 2018!). Maybe old-ish posts, but my silicone doll has the exact same tearing as in HSP's picture. The tear goes across her whole chest area in a smile-like crescent shape. Almost looks like she was sliced with a very sharp knife.

I got the doll in September 2017. IWould that have been made with the tin-type silicone, you think? I'll go shopping for some Permatex soon, and see if I can repair that area at least. Thanks, haremlover, for the tips.

HSP's picture shows damage caused by a sharp object having been taken across the surface somehow, nothing at all to do with the nature of the silicone. Tin cure silicone pre-2010 fell apart by itself. Platinum silicone is damaged only by some external agency.

I have heard about vagina holes not in right molding spots and thats why they connect with the anus. Im still looking into the mold changes.. Ill report back with findings

How come 20 years old dolls were more robust then modern ones? We get splitting and shredding after few months no matter the brand. And yet here i read about last millenium dolls being able to take real punishment and still be ok. What am i missing?

Maybe should make this a poll for number of tears… I think this would be hard to quantify across manufacturers and users or shippers.

IMHO tears and imperfections are bound to happen at some level. These are hardly mass produced items with strict environmental controls and quality assurance.

It seems silicone back then with dolls was less soft.
Soft means more easily tearing
