Not necessarily a mistake, it's a bit illogical. Usually, people choose Duracast in the hands to limit the possibility of finger-pokes happening, but as your doll is without finger-wires, that won't happen anyway.

But it will still help in preventing tears because of the hand-plate.

Did I make a mistake?
Duracast help prevent finger pokes.

But you will never get a finger poke because you requested no finger wires.

Therefore Duracast not needed in the hands.

(I'd recommend the finger wires for poseable fingers, with the Duracast)

Actually I think the duracast is good for no finger wires, it will prevent the fingers from jiggling around, I actually had the same idea if I ever bought a BT.Makes perfect sense to me. 8)

That's what I was thinking. Normal hands w/ out wires will just flop around and possible tear easy. Hopefully the duracast will give them a little more strength and longer life.

Duracast will also give the hands/feet a more realistic feel. Feet/hands are typically very hard compared to the rest of the body. the new ultra soft silicone are too soft for hands IMO.
Every day people remind me why I like dolls better.

Sorry to revive an old thread here but this point about the duracast on fingers with no wires is worth it. The floopy fingers can be a bit disconcerting during play time. It sounds like this would be a good choice to avoid pokes and floppy fingers both.
