I have the hardest time unknotting this wig I got for my 1st new doll. Whats the deal, anyone having the same issue? any trick to maybe loosen the hair a bit?

It's better to brush from the tips/bottom of the hair and work your way to the roots. Good quality wigs start at the $30 mark.
Get kanekalon wigs, thay tangle less, and your doll will thank you later for it.

Here is a ink to wig care and the brush I use on Jenelle's wigs.

+1 on kanekalon wigs.

I have found them to be the best mid-quality wig that you can buy.

I use Mona Lisa wigs exclusively. http://www.wigsbymonalisa.com or http://wildcatwigs.com/store/WsDefault.asp
I first use my fingers, starting at the bottom and working my way up to the top. Some sparing use of 50/50 fabric softener/water mix helps with the frizzes on the ends. You can rub a drier sheet on the hair as well.

wig detangler works and as a cheap fix mix water and fabric softner and soak the wig and pat it down with a towel and then let it dry completely, then brush it should now be very manageable and smell great too

buy a wig brush for sure, regular brushes will pull out hair and tangle more. You can add a little baby power to keep down the knots and keep the wig shine down too.
