This is the fei head. She had stationary eyes. So i decided make them more mobile. She had 24 mm brown eyes.

The eyes removed had a little plug on the end. I put the old eyes away for a future project.
The new eyes are 22 mm i had to file the end off of the back so i could install them.
- Prepared for installation. New eyes

She looks great with the new eyes installed. What do you think?

I should note this same doll has had nail chips applied, silicone filler in fingers to prevent pokes, silicone reenforcing of the heels, repaired groin, elbow tightening, tattoo applied permanantly, tongue cut down and installed.

wondering if you can post photos of how you opened the metal ring, and installed a new set of eyeballs. I thought maybe the outer ring holding the balls was soldered after the eyeball installed...

No metal ring. The head is from before they introduced the spring system they were just full rounds with a round tab on the back nothing more. Non posable.2011 2012 model

On a side note, i would not mess with them or try to take them out.

So you wouldn't recommend trying to change the eyes on a 2016?

Not at all. Hope you have a color you can live with.
It can be done, but it will tear her pretty face around the eyes

A tutorial on strengthening heels would be great.
You'll find more on the 2015 eyes on

I didn't take pics of the procedure. I used a flavor injector full of silicone. I inserted this through a small pre existing hole in the heel. I would go in through the side of the heel on both sides. Inject so much as you can at the back of the heel. Let her dry for a few hours. Haven't tested it yet so at your own risk.
