Hello all,

I recently acquired a DS Ex-Lite at the hershey doll meet. I traded Samara78 my Sanhui145 doll body with the broken wrist for her ex-lite that she had and repaired. It was a good trade and I had a great time at the meet. I recommend all you doll lovers go to one. I have social anxiety and don't get out much, but i decided to go at the last minute and just went. Didn't feel uncomfortable at all and got to meet a few of the folks I been talking to here.

Even after reading a lot of shit reviews, I still liked her. Her size/weight really did it for me. Her skin doesn't bother me and the gaps can be dealt with. It is a good concept that needs a better execution. My thoughts so far...
Pros-
Lightweight
Easy to store and move
Skeleton is decent
Sexy
Easy to stand

Cons-
Gaps
Limited skeletal mobility
Can't spread legs too far
Tongue needs to be longer

I haven't banged her yet, ordering an insert tomorrow.
She is very photogenic and i like her sculpt and her face. I may get a DS163 Silicone lady sometime in the future if they actually weigh 65 pounds.

Also, a couple suggestions for a better ex-lite
Maybe an aluminum skeleton instead of plastic
use a push and click system, like you have for your heads, and incorporate that into the limbs and head instead of those clips to reduce gaps, make assembly/disassembly easier and smoother.

She is like a soft mannequin/doll.
I name her Lana, which means soft, gentle, peaceful, so i read.
And to my delight, all Eves clothes fit her. NICE

That's indeed a nice trade. Wish, to meet Samara too one day and be wondering... hmmm.. what does she look like. xD (He or She lol)

Just wish DS make an Emily or Yolanda version of EXLite... that would be awesome lol.

Not Awkward at all.Quite the opposite because you are surrounded by others like yourself. I felt comfortable, and i usually don't in a group of people i don't know. I felt that I knew these people on some level, even though I just physically met them.

I would like to see DS make a new, better, updated ex-lite, maybe a small selection of heads, like 2 or 3.
oh, I looked on the DS site for inserts and I found them with ease and they are reasonably priced. NICE

WOW!! Well I was thinking about the meeting be in public place. I guess you guys had a big room for it but what about entering the building with your dolls? That would freak out the passerby xD jk

It's true because only doll owners understand the benefits of dolls and understand your needs. When you tell you have dolls to random stranger, they'll immediately judge you as pervert, pedo, freak, or sometimes worst, feminist beatdown.

Wish there's one event like that near Cali. Don't want to go out of State just so I can be in some sort of EXPO for dolls or DOLL EXPO, make it happen TDF.

I bet Doll Expo would be on the news. It's like how they do Hologram concert of Miku during Anime EXPO and CNN or Fox got nothing better to report than to show people on the expo who watch unexistent characters as freaks. The medias are crazy jerks.

Anyways, glad your anxiety is at least lowered seeing people like yourself around. I'm not bashful to tell the public I own dolls. As a matter of fact, I upload doll pictures on facebook or my deviantart gallery. It's whether they accept it or not, I see the doll as art. So they can think of me as freak, I believe dolls doesn't harm the public and nothing is wrong so I stand by with art point of view and ignore them.

Lana is still adjusting to being with Eve and I. Doing pretty well even though Eve isn't making it easy. She is used to being the only doll lady in this room, so she is adjusting as well. During this photo shoot with Lana, all hell broke loose for a bit……
