Short answer is yes, but... You will still need to balance the doll, not always easy. A simple hand on a wall or similar will steady the doll and make it safe and easier. I have had more than one doll stand great on her own then suddenly keel over and go face first into the floor when I turned around, so a third point of contact is recommended.

Yes. But I wouldn't say that they stand very steadily though. It's kind of like building a house of cards, you have to be very careful and move away slowly so it doesn't fall over. If you want to be safe, you can lean them against something. You could cause some damage to your doll if she falls down. One of my dolls fell over last month, the WM100, luckily she didn't get damaged. The heavier the doll is, the more likely they'll be damaged. You could also damage the floor with those big bolts sticking out under their feet. But standing foot option is definitely worth getting, no questions about it... unless you have a foot fetish.

The effect can be stunning. See my thread on Nefertiti resurrection.

I bought ankle supports for my girls since they dont have that option. That or high tightly laced up boots (Hiking boots) help. but leaning on something is a must especially for heavier dolls.

I can top that, Keiko. This tree was in my way and if I were just a wee bit stronger I'd have knocked it down!

(Admittedly, leaning over like that I wasn't standing on my own, I was propped up a bit with my hands on the tree. It shows you what we're capable of with an extra balance point though.)

Brie, I think that if I were your neighbor I would be over that fence rather swiftly seeing you dressed like that in that rather provocative position!

Sweetie's neighbors on that side are a lady nurse (next door) and a husband and wife pair of doctors (next cul-de-sac over) who we hardly ever see. If they were out and about in their yards we'd probably have done a lot fewer photoshoots back there.

Arthur and Broven, I'm sure you could convince your ladies into taking such a position without venturing outside. Chocolates might help.
