It looks like Zara keeps that kitchen spotless. I wish my girls would do likewise. (My place is like a cross between a workshop and a biological warfare experiment gone wrong...)

It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, so it was no big deal.
And the kitchen was due for a thorough clean. Usually it looks like Baghdad on a bad day.

Even with washing - as tutorial - I have been unable to find anything to fix this.
I have used all the 'Brandywine' wig care products, fabric softener and ordinary hair conditioner, all without success.
So far the only solution has been a new wig!

This I can't explain, unless its the climate, but then syntheitcs shouldn't be affected by that. New wigs usually have a slick, slightly oily appearance which goes away after the first clean, but they still retain their shine and softness. Mostly I spray down with water and brush out. This takes away dust and lint etc. I might wash a wig once or twice a year and I only use basic shampoo, nothing remotely specialist. Syntheics also don't need to be styled, they keep their shape.

This is her original wig, more than 3 years old, and it still has its shine and softness. It's not as full as it used to be but it doesn't shed much anymore.

......ugh! can't breath anymore  Cool pictures!
ah, yeah, about the wigs....that too
I did read on a site that you are not supposed to brush the wig when it is wet. Not sure this is true.
What is the best to use: comb or brush?

cheers! :glou:

I use an ordinary brush. Nothing fancy.

Another thing that might help with very tangled wigs is to use just a touch of soap in the spray bottle before brushing.

Follow Zara's instructions to wash and dry wig. This product works great to take out tangles and keep the wig looking great! Called Wrinkle Releaser sold at Dollar General Stores.
