Yea Mandos, strange that the pics come in like that. When you click on them they correct and you get a better image, it seems...

Have a question. How long does it take for the New guys to start asking about HEAT GUNS? LOL!

Seems I'm off to the races on that one. There is some minor damage inside knee.. Not deep either, no big deal...yet..

It's a tear, so it has to be dealt with. Right? Especially where the tear is at.
She is my first doll. So, as careful as I have been with her I still manage to flub things anyway/learning curve.

The cost of tuition I guess. But I want to make sure I can fix or alleviate the problem when this happens, and it will happen again... I assume.

So, a heat gun and an infrared gun and some more learning to do, are on santa's shopping list this season. ho ho ho...

How did that happen? Is it on the side of the knee?

I find that TPE glue is best for tears, if the tear is big do it in several small steps. I think you should consider that before starting with the heat gun. There are several videos about this floating around, and be careful with the glue - it melts the TPE if applied incorrectly.

Sorry to hear the news...doesn't look 'too' bad fortunately. But yes, they are fragile things are girls and repairs are inevitable at some point.

Mandos.. I'll check for vids and more info on TPE glue. Why would you try glue over the gun? I'm sure I could really screw up using either, but it seems I have more control using the heat gun. Along with an infrared gun to make sure the temperature is in a safe range.. I'll definitely get some tpe glue too, and practice on an insert a half dozen times to make sure I get it right before I try it on Amaris.

I'm not sure how this happened. I was cleaning her. After powdering I noticed the tear..

Thanks. The damage isn't too bad, and from reading through this forum the past few months, I figured that this will inevitably happen. Part of being a doller. I suppose..
And if anyone chimes in and says something like, 'silicone is the way to go.. bla blaaa.." I'll teleport them a quick kick to the face... lol!!

silicone can also tear...just that little more durable...but it does still tear and scuff if not careful. and yes, at least you were aware that at some point it probably would happen, I think this lessons the shock and upset if you are prepared for it. Thankfully should be a fairly easy fix for her
