On new years' eve we played games througout the night till the morning. We found a boardgame which you can play pretty much endlessly. It's a game that is set in the 17th century where you own a harbor and can make a fleet of merchant- and pirateships. The aim is to make money through trade or capturing the other players' ships.

I am making my move, moving one of my pirateships next to one of Erika's merchantships.

Erika already has a dice at hand, she expects me to attack her.

And indeed I point to the ship, indicating my attack.

Meanwhile Alex is counting her money.

I am concentrating on my throw.

Oooh, this is not good, just a one and a two, making three.

A merchantship can only defend with one dice, but Erika throws a 6

I am shocked.

I raise my hands to my head in despair.

Kim pats my leg to comfort me.

Well, it was fun anyway.

I love the pictures EBF has taken of you girls playing your game. That looks like a whole lot more fun than I had last night anyway.
I wish I could have come round to your place for the evening, I could have had a good old chat with Kim too and meet you all properly.
Oh well, perhaps one day we will meet up.
So, Erika won then? Well done Erika.

Yes, we had a lot of fun.
Hanna, it would have been nice if you had been here, but then we had to do another game, since this was for 4 players tops. Hm, might not have been a bad idea

Maybe next new years eve?

Yes, they had a lot of fun. Not so much yesterday though

Alexa called her boyfriend, so he could pick her up one of these days.

It was quite a long call.

Meanwhile Julie and Kim were watching a movie on the laptop.

Suddenly Alexa dropped her phone, spilled the rest of her cola and started crying.

Julie started to comfort her, while Kim and Erika cleaned up the mess.

Alexa: "He said I stayed here way too long, and we were never compatible and he's looking to get someone else."

Kim handed Alexa a glass of water

Alexa: "Where am I gonna go now. He said he never wants to see me again."
Julie: "Don't worry. You can stay here, we're not gonna send you out on the street."

So it seems ike Alexa is staying here.

BTW. The text on the shirt Julie is wearing, is a bit ironic. It says "Totally unimpressed"

Alexa is devastated. She didn't sleep much night. Right now she is crawled up on the couch. She is sleeping now, so we tucked her in.

Daria and I feel really sad about your situation.
The pictures of your phone call are heart wrenching.
However, we were feeling sad before when you were planning to return to you boyfriend and wouldn't be posting anymore. Now we are excited by the possibility that you are staying.
