This was going to be my entry for the Cat D challenge this month. There seems to be a split over whether it fits the rules and the theme, so I'll end up doing something else for that. But I had an idea on how to salvage this one and spent an hour or so working on that tonight. [A quick shout-out to Tongue-o-Matic for posting the escargot scene from The Jerk, which was the inspiration for my new idea.] The new image certainly fits within the rules of that challenge, in the end I decided that it still didn't meet the host's interpretation of the theme - warm and romantic. Well, I definitely nailed the "warm" part. The "romantic" part... maybe, maybe not. Anyway, I'm not going to enter it. So I'm just posting the original entry and the aborted second entry here for posterity.

I should apologize for essentially disappearing. Not that I'm exactly sorry about it or anything, but Anna and I kinda just went away without saying much of anything about it and that probably wasn't the best approach.

I needed to get my head back in a good place, and part of that was spending a lot less time on here and the internet in general. I've met a lot of really great people here, no doubt about it. But sometimes I need to step away from my obsessions for a while. It always seemed like a weakness to me that I need to do that, but I am who I am. And at this point, I'm not really interested in reinventing myself. lol

So anyway, we may be back. No plans for it at the moment beyond finishing up the current Cat C challenge. But who knows.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support since we first arrived here. We still appreciate it as much as ever. And please don't think our absence means we don't miss you all.

Hey Broven! I guess we are all a bit disappointed the Hershey meet got canceled. A lot of us were looking forward to meeting you and Anne Marie in person and not on the web! From time to time I see very talented people come in on fire and leave without much of a trace. I appreciate your honesty. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do! Be well!
