Beautiful Chloe - You won't believe this.
I have got my first entry level Nikon D3200 camera. I traded with my neighbour and gave him 120kg weights and a bench for this amazing camera!
Everyone needs to start somewhere and I really hope you like the pictures:
I got Chloe from JM a couple of weeks ago and she has made me very happy!
The new camera is a huge step up from my webcam - indeed!
Chloe is a big tease!
Perfect Chloe!
If you could offer any advice - that would be greatly appreciated too
Thanks everyone!

Yes I agree with havefun! I don't have Nikon but what I found that really helped me was to learn and understand everything about my camera. My owners manual looks like its been through a war. After that you then need to try to master lighting. (I'm still struggling with that one) Enjoy the experience It can be very rewarding!havefun wrote:LoversJD That's a good camera to start with. I have a D3300 and love it. Buy a 35mm prime lens for it. practice using the manual setting and play with your shutter and aperture settings.
Mr F it.

I know - she is adorable I couldn't be happier to have Chloe as my first
I'm happy to hear that! Was very lucky to get my hands on it.havefun wrote:LoversJD That's a good camera to start with. I have a D3300 and love it. Buy a 35mm prime lens for it. practice using the manual setting and play with your shutter and aperture settings.
I was given a Nikon VR DX 18-55mm lens too and I will pick up the 35mm primer lens. Thank you very much for your advice - I will play with the settings and watch some tutorials on YouTube too.

I'm actually thinking about building a photography box (I will be collecting the mini dolls - which should make the lighting easier (hopefully). Using a lamp atm, but the box should be ideal for me. I'm really liking this new hobby of mine Thanks Mr Fix itMr_Fix_it wrote: After that you then need to try to master lighting. Enjoy the experience It can be very rewarding!

Thank you Autolycus. I wouldn't be able to buy a doll from anywhere else John from JM is just so helpful and the dolls are reasonably priced too. I think JM said they setup shop near the needed resources and that it why the dolls are so affordable.autolycus wrote:Chloe is absolutely stunning! Great photos. I share your love of jm dolls, and can say you have captured the beauty perfectly. The only thing the pictures don't capture is the wonderful feeling of their soft skin, but that will have to be left to be the imagination (or those of us lucky enough to be hold them!). Thanks for sharing.
I really like the softness too. I will be getting more dolls from JM in the coming months.

I would say you used to much lighting over exposure, lower your shutter speed and iso a little
lower to get a more natural look on your camera settings, i always use Manual mode for all my photo shooting ~!!
Takes a lot of practice getting to know how to use a DSLR but so worth it~!!
I have a Canon 60D with 50mm Prime lens and also have a 18-135mm Kit lens which does wonders.
I use a soft box and a spot light for my photo shoots you can get them cheap on Ebay and amazon.
