Looking good! You are getting the standing pose down, I really like the leaning over the chair with one foot up. Sometimes getting the legs in the right position can be a pain in the ass, however when you get it, its makes the shot.
Shots 1,2, 4, & 5 are good, I would experiment with head angle (up and down). Also if your doll has it, try some shots with the back joint rotated, probably the easiest would be to lay her down and grab the shoulders and twist counter or clockwise.

Stretchy material is best but remember, getting clothes on can be hard unless they open down the front or back.

Thank you, the fingers definitely are the minor details that can make a picture. One of things I have to keep reminding myself is to make sure the fingers are rotated and not bent awkwardly. Your shots definitely are getting there, you are practicing so you will start checking for things.

Yeah, fingers are also difficult! One thing you can try to do sometime is to try to bend them slightly where the knuckles are so they look more natural. However, that is very hard to do properly so don’t try unless you think they can take it!

However, the focus is bad and 80% failure.

As for the camera issues I can relate! I had to buy a camera tripod just to get semi decent pictures.

Yeah, it’s difficult to work out what’s best for photos sometimes! Smart phones these days have quite good cameras compared to small digital cameras. The only problem is controlling the light settings.

At first I used a point and click digital camera but realised there were many limitations with that early on! So, I took the plunge and got a Nikon D3300! However, even that has limitations with its 18-55 VR lens! When I looked at getting another lens it was twice as much as I’d paid for the camera in the first place!
