If any company vendor seller retailer does not state who they are where they are what they are only providing brief contact email/tel and no business address then I cannot trust them at all.

I'm glad that I took the time to go through the posts on this sketchy subject. I've come very close to making an impulse purchase on Aliexpress on a doll I was quite mesmerized with:

alibaba.com/product-detail/Pure-125cm-TPE-Optional-funtion-Beautiful_60798606941.html?spm=a2700.details.maylikehoz.3.1bb28b6dTVGjOb

I have been in communication with the seller for a while and they have supplied photos of their product. I know full well that it's a KO, and for the price of $420, including shipping, I'm just concerned about it's destructive quality. And what's even more troubling for me, is the customs issue in regards to small dolls. Will it get seized at the border for looking too well...'small'? My budget is quite limited, but I have been interested in the Candace dolls from the Beautiful Dolls website. So, I might go that direction instead.

What's your take on the $420 doll?

I will provide photos up here of the mentioned doll, from their 'factory', if anyone is interested in taking a closer look.

Thanks.

Hi there, I have merged your two posts together. I have disabled the link as we do not like to give traffic to known counterfeit sellers.

Also, if that doll was to be opened by customs in most western countries it would most likely be seized.

It is also dubious whether or not we would allow it to be shown on TDF, so for now, please do not post pictures of this doll.

Thanks.

I love how the doll is both TPE and silicone at the same time--that's quite a feat of chemical engineering ;)

No problem. I apologize for the link, but thanks for your insight in regards to it's dimensions. Definitely wouldn't want to go into a loss because of that. Would I be safe getting a 4'7" fabric doll Candace then?

WARNING: This is only my opinion... but it seems to me as the years go by in this hobby the selection from the Bay gets more and more blander, where there was once a diversity of size and types of Dolls to choose from there is now much much less, (all the dollls I am seeing are TPE and over 5 foot) silicone Dolls of any type seem to be nonexistent, even Ali seems to be headed in this same direction but at a slower pace...My question is Why...Has the market now become saturated with Dolls?

I agree, buying doll from ali* can be dangerous.
But dont worry, one "manufacturer" from Alibaba who claims to be WM also sells screwdrivers!
So in worst case when you dont listen to advice you can get one with doll and poke yourself when package arrive (if that happen...)
wmdoll.en.alibaba.com

PS.
Complain already filled to ali, we will see what happen.

PS for mods:
I know this need you approval so if you decide to remove link to this site fell free to do that (yea i know, you dont need my permission to do that ;p)

It does appear from reviews that the biggest complaint against thes Chinese vendors is a cheaper build and of course the traditional Chinese theft of intellectual property (ie...design). I’ve noticed most get their dolls, but that they expected a better looking doll than the one sent. I’m very glad I found this forum recently because I was buying one of these. Now I’m waiting to become a full fledged member as I would like to look at a better quality used doll in that price range or I’m very intrigued by the Kimber doll as well. I hate that so many got boned on their dolls, but do know some people are listening to you and appreciate you sharing your experiences.

I recently purchased this doll on eBay.de, and wondered why the price was so low. However, it was in Europe and I could pay for it through PayPal, so I knew I had some protection. Well, not an hour after I paid for it (with PayPal), eBay took down the auction, did not supply a reason, and left me high and dry to deal with the seller, who, as you can imagine, was suddenly nowhere to be found. I admit that I was not totally surprised. I notified PayPal with a "fraud" complaint, and they told me it would be up to twenty days before the issue was resolved, since they had to contact the seller. However, I received a full refund within a week. I guess eBay pulling down the auction may have had something to do with the quick resolution. The part I find to be as ugly as the scammer is how eBay handled the situation. They obviously knew the guy was a crook, but his account was not deleted, and they did nothing to assist me with the issue. Funny enough, I just bought another WM mannequin on eBay and am awaiting delivery. Stay tuned.

When I first started looking into TPE dolls, I stumbled upon Aliexpress shortly afterwards(and like 20 other sites like it, even Amazon had knock-off dolls), and started to notice the prices were pretty much all over the place, and then when I looked closer I noticed that many times I was seeing the same photos used on sites where a doll cost would be well over $1000, on one being sold for less then half that cost. I also noticed in some cases, absolutely horrible spelling and flat out copied descriptions or company write-ups clearly taken from other sites.

Upon doing a google search with the term "Scam" in the search, I landed on a thread from this forum, and I discovered they very much were exactly that. Thankfully the knowledge base on TDF cleared this up, as had it not, I'd have spent something like $600 dollars on who knows what.

This is also why I'm going with a TDF endorsed vendor, because it seems even if there is one or two bad experiences with a well known distributor(which also seem to get resolved far faster then I've seen A LOT of businesses handle customer concerns) there are 90+ great experiences, with zero problems or issues before and after purchase.

Though as others have said, I'm going to have to echo-

You get what you pay for, but also- If it seems to good to be true, it most likely isn't.

I would highly recommend that anyone who does decide to take their chances with an unknown vendor use PayPal to process the sale. If there is a serious subsequent problem with the product and the retailer is not treating you right, PayPal will intervene on your behalf. Buying direct from China is a dicey proposition no matter what you are purchasing. I had an experience with E-Bay where they would not help me out with a problem with defective products sold by a China based company (it was sporting goods items) but Pay Pal got my money fully returned when the merchant refused to work with either me or them. Beware stalling tactics by the retailer, this is part of their regular process. They act nice and delay until E-Bay's time limits apply then ignore your complaints and/or their previous promises to reimburse you.

I recently had an incident with AliExpress, too. I think it has something to do with the China trade dispute but it's possible some sort of new legislation regulating the sex doll market is affecting it too. That or somebody out there just doesn't like me and is stealing my packages.

I have ordered a doll from AliExpress before with no issues. It looked like the photos but was kind of cheaply made. It was inexpensive, though, so I didn't really care. I don't remember which supplier it was as I ordered it without an account.

I ordered one from the Hanidoll store a few months ago. It was an adult doll with an anime style head. I received an empty box. They did refund my money within a few days, though.

I have received everything else I've ordered through AliExpress very quickly except for one time when I got nail files instead of a lockpick gun. I use AliExpress all the time.

I think there may be some sort of illegal boycott or something going on and customs or one of the shipping companies are just stealing the dolls. I can order one in the USA with no problem, even the same doll as AliExpress sells. I don't know if it's the CREEPER act or someone just stealing them, but I've ordered more expensive electronics from China with no issues (with customs or the product itself).

I'm surprised it's even an issue in the USA seeing as how we have the world's largest porn industry and there's strip clubs and massage parlors on every corner in most major cities. Some sort of radical religious right-wing attempt at fixing a non-issue (yet they ignore the rest of the sex industry). I can go get a hooker here but can't order a human-shaped piece of rubber online.

Me as maybe lots of people first saw sex dolls on sites like aliexpress and when we are green and there is a lot of fake information is hard to understand everyting untill it's too late.

I order my doll from aliexpress site. Searching for best doll with warehouse in Europe. I strumble upon "good" seller with lots of positive reviews so I think that maybe what people talk is to push you to take you more money. So I buy cheap doll without any option for customisation except height and that is "100% same as photos". So I order 170cm doll that on the photos was like JY Doll Tiffany. It came for 5 days! Initially was really happy how fast everything is happening.

So when I receive the package on the moment realize that this is different doll because the package itself was only 144height and it's impossible to put inside big doll with all wrapping. In the end I end up with asian look like doll with natural color. Well the dissapointment was really big and I started dispute in the platform. Luckylly(maybe?) I am platinum user and admins reacted very quickly and return to me 80% of the total amounth.

In the end I end up with doll for 200$ so I am happy. Price to quallity was worth it for me. Yes quallity was low - both wrist broken after month or so and can see the metal on both hands but still like I said for the money is worth it.

After week or 2 after my dispute this shop dissapear from aliexpress for quite some time. Recently I see that his show return with even more positive reviews 8O So I guess there is some shaddy platform from where you can buy reviews because not a single one cannot be true - almost all of them are 5stars and you can easy miss 1stars from the real buyers that you can easily think "that guy was unlucky".

My opition if someone strumble upon while searching information is: If you feel lucky - go for it. Otherwise just save enough money and buy original - in the end it's worth it(I know because this week I receive my original Tiffany doll 8) ).

My cautionary story also involves aliexpress. Personally, I believe it is more individual sellers, and not so much the entire site, ( I have bought other things on there with no problem) but, yes, you get what you pay for. I decided for my first doll, to go cheap (read under $500) and tried a seller who seemed to have lots of positive revues, 5 stars, the whole deal. This was before I found the doll forum. I got caught up in the whole "Trump raises tariffs" deal, and my package (confirmed pickup by fedex international) sat at the dock, for 3 weeks. IN CHINA. Fed-ex was great, called me back several times to explain what was going on. Then the package goes back to the warehouse, and then TWO separate packages get shipped. The ORIGINAL ( I can tell by the tracking number, weight and size) and a completely new package from another address. BUT...I'll put it this way. The second box, which made it to my door in 7 days, was the size doll I had ORIGINALLY ordered. The first one they tried to ship, that sat at the dock? Was shorter, thinner, and lighter by almost half the weight. It never did make it here, and I suspect it eventually went back to the warehouse. I still wonder exactly what was in it though.

I have been scammed several times via alieexpress! They ship horrible quality blow-up doll instead of tpe doll and another time they did not ship at all.
