Ha ha, I was giving the wig / mannequin combinations arbitrary names for organizational purposes... I guess she looked like Mandy from the front and Anne from the back.

Marilyn / Anne is a BELLE2 model.

Your place is crowded by beauty.

I don't normally photograph my mannequins because their scale / rigidity make photoshoots awkward for me.

The Golden Hour

Afternoon (de)light

Yesterday, I didn't get an opportunity to set up a formal photo shoot with Eve & Ada, so today I threw together a quickie using the big gals.

After swapping wigs for variety, I took some pictures in the family room during the bright mid-day sun.

I used those photos to create some heavily saturated, almost illustrative images as well as a pair of tritones.

I was trying to pick my favorite, but they were all so good I gave up. Playing with light can be touch and go....very nice!

Stumbling upon beauty

One of the pleasures of photography is capturing the sunlight as it fills a space.

This morning, I clumsily made my way through the darkened family room to open the blinds.

Along the way, I became aware of this beautiful stream of light light leaking from the side of the blinds. It cast a sensuous light across Marilyn's body and the wall behind her.

The only reason she was in the corner was to make room for a separate photo shoot. This had inadvertently created a beautiful image.

I scrambled to fetch my camera and take a picture:
