Psychology Today- Seeking Military Veteran Sex Doll Owners

I have been approached by Psychology Today to compose an article about military veterans who own sex dolls and why they have them. I'm[ looking for any vets that specifically turned to dolls for a coping mechanism for PTSD or other military related issues. I am very excited about this opportunity to have my work accepted in such an established publication. In order to make this a success for everyone I am asking for the participation of a number of vets who are willing to share their story. Here are the details for this article-

1. All volunteers will have complete anonymity and will be required to sign a consent form.
2. This article will focus on the positive aspects of sex doll ownership i.e. how has she improved your life, what are the benefits you find from having her etc.
3. This is an article to be written by me, not someone unfamiliar with the subject.
4. The completed article will be submitted to Psychology Today for publication at a future date to be determined by the PT editors; this may appear online, in print or both.
5. I will have exclusive rights to the article and may consider submitting it to other publications.
6. I am CITI certified*. All data gathered will be obtained ethically and with accordance to CITI guidelines.

I realize that vet's make up a small portion of the community so I am hoping to get the participation of between 6-10 US vets. Your participation would include at least two of the following-

1. Online Survey
2. Phone interview
3. Email interview
4. Personal submission based on questionnaire

I am constantly looking for outlets to portray the positive side of doll ownership. It is my hope to see more articles that show the benefits people experience from this life choice. I'm excited to have the opportunity to give the general public a positive perspective of this subject matter. Qualified participants can either send me a pm or email support@monamourtoujours.com

Dolls work also very good / can be very meaningful too people with autism, I speak from experience becouse i have autism disorder myself.

It is a shame that health insurance does not yet compensate. (atleast in my country) Other nonsensical things are compensated....... well, sometimes the world is turned upside down.

I have financed my dolls myself and have no regrets, it has changed my life in many positive ways.

I didn't forget about you DDM and others with autism. This is also an area of study on my radar which I'll be tackling soon. I have quite a few clients diagnosed with autism that echo your sentiments. Additionally my objective is to do exactly what you suggest- having an IPA (intimate partner alternative) prescribed for certain behavioral issues and anxiety. I honestly believe this is not too far off in the future. I'm also looking into the possibility of having certificates available for emotional support dolls, similar to the certificate one would have for a support animal. This would allow a psychologist or counselor to provide certain people with an authorized certificate that allows them to possess certain banned dolls on the basis they provide emotional support. I don't want to get too far off topic but I feel these things are important and will continue to pursue the possibilities.

Well, I can't say why they would. It is my hope they would want to discuss their situation and see this as an opportunity to help others who may be in similar situations and looking for help. I think it's easy for people to be offended and cynical about something like this rather than consider the positive things that could come from it. I'm looking at this as an opportunity to help others. I'm not demanding that people participate, I'm asking. If you're a military vet that has been confronted with PTSD and have found dolls have helped and want to keep that your business that's perfectly fine with me. If I don't get any response then the article won't be written. This would be a shame because the article would show the benefits people get from having a doll which is something the media doesn't focus on.

Well fuck it then.

I was in for 30 years, and now out medical, and that is just one of the boxes I got ticked for my service pension. Reached the USN equivalent of Command Master Cheif. I had my day to day specialisation, but an additional specialization involving long-arms and putting their product into small targets at long distances, I did many gigs as a what you blokes in the US forces may call "A dirt sailor" specialist, in Afghanistan three tours and Iraq three tours, not to even mention East Timor (Timor Leste) , Somalia, Bougainville and the Soloman Islands, as a few other choice tourist destinations. Some lovely people, who sadly have come to terms with wars that have been raging for millennia, as a way of life, and on the other side some dead set carnts!

I used to think being tough was getting the job done, and on to the next gig. Now I know being tough is going on, asking for help, not hiding and suppressing you feelings, and being their to pick up your other mates when they need help as well, but are too proud to let on, as well.

lets just say Me and my Trust .50 "Milo" in some "negotiations with extreme prejudice" from the back of the bushmaster, with Terry over who the better shot is. I am still here and so are my mates too. Negotiations resolved, but that was 5 years ago, and I still remember that contact chat, like it was yesterday.

To me this is a way for those vets who do suffer this terrible affliction (that is an ongoing battle , always) to talk about dolly's (and perhaps other distractions we use to mange this condition with, such as music or other hobbies) to get exposure (but the media has to put from tongue to script, no agenda motivated edited propaganda bullshit).

Remember Chris Kyle, (I do as a friend and peer), and I also remember the PTSD vet that shot him and Chad dead form the back seat of Chris's truck, because he felt no body listened to him.

So vets, with this condition, you got a voice, make it heard.

man, just bring it up, as "you want to chat it out, and provide good info for others that are hiding in shadows and may need to normalise" under the cloud, with the black dog at heel.

I was a gonn'a, with this and illness, luckily my peers and friends made me refocus on my powerzone, that is music, and man, I got to say, that was a lifeline right there, and still is.

the true strength is in asking for help, receiving it and passing on the gift to others in need. be it dolly's, guitars, cars, guns ..what ever it is we hunt for our need to fill the void, make it so, and walk the path man, it is not an easy trip, but a necessary one.

Just a thought.

Well most here know I have PTSD by now, assuming one day I get one of these beauties I will keep you posted...One bright side of not giving much of a shit about anything, I don't always care to much what peps think of me. So probably willing to talk about some things.

P.S. Where were you teaching the ANA at... I helped stand up the ANASMA while I was over in the stan...

Although I'm not a certified counselor I do have my BA in psychology and planned on going into counseling. If you feel compelled to say anything my suggestion is to not ask but tell. Asking implies you need permission which you don't need permission to see if a doll will help you. Trust me, your psychologist knows nothing about the benefits a doll can provide, I've done plenty of academic research to know there is nothing out there that's why I conducted my own research. Give yourself some credit, it seems like you already gave this some thought. If you already feel a doll will help she probably will.
