Hi scooter, thank you, I really enjoyed telling the story.scooter_ca wrote:Congratulations from me too.
Like Nes, I can't give the article the time it deserves right now, but after dinner this will be mandatory reading.
I remember when the call went out for someone to interview. Good for you with going for it.
Thanks,
scooter.
Hi Hollywu, thank you, I´m sure there are a lot who´d be able to tell stries like that and would be able to underline that dolls are much more than sex dolls.Hollywu wrote:Wow! Thank you for posting this. I'm truly moved to read your story. I know there are more of us out there like this.
Safe travels.
Hi samara, thank you, yes, I love her a lot. And I do hope she loves me as well.samara78 wrote:This is a great artickle. You and brigette are so sweet and romantic
Hi mondoon, thank you, I guess you didn´t recognise Brigitte as she didn´t wear her tattoo nylon sleeves on her arms and no glasses, and I suppose the rest is caused by the camera angle. We like the picture a lot.Mondoon wrote:Congratulations 'Tom', great story and remarkable translation. Ihr Englisch ist viel besser als mein Deutsch.
I can certainly recognise you from behind, but fortunately most people won't. I didn't recognise Brigitte though, perhaps it's the image, or something is different from when we met.
Lovely story and anyone who knows you cannot fail to see the relationship when you are with any of your ladies.
Best wishes from me and Hanna.
Hi shimu, thank you, it was a pleasure.shimu3z wrote:I loved it. Thank you for sharing the story with us.

Hi adventurer, thank you, I hope you are right.Adventurer wrote:Fantastic. Great exposure for this community and for dolls in general. I'm sure there will be several new German members of this forum soon.
Hi Begog, thank you, I know though that my english isn´t really perfect. I decided to go for it when it was clear that the story was supposed to appear in the ZEIT as it´s one of the few high-quality papers in Germany.Begog wrote:I read the story and I approve. It's great to see a newspaper writing a subjective and factual story that is not derogatory or grandstanding. Dolls need more of this type of exposure to fully become "mainstream." It's a slow process, but I see this as a step in the right direction.
As for grammar and typos, I have always marveled at his mastery of English and other languages. I've always had the utmost respect for Chris, and we are proud to call him Moderator Assistant Manager.
Hi SF, thank you, yes, I was very happy about the story, Constantin is really really good. I wish to thank him and wish him all the best.siliconefun wrote:Hi dear Chris,
sitting here in my comfy office chair next to Amy I really enjoyed to read this awesome publication about you and your doll relationship story.
I just want to say that this article is written in a very respectful way toward our beloved artificial companions and the layout is professionally done
Congrats from me and my gals and thanks for sharing this great story Chris

Hi Nescio, yes, the story is absolutely true, a sad true story with a very happy end.Nescio50 wrote:Hi Chris,
I just read the whole article. It's beautiful! Having met you (and Brigitte) a few times, hearing your stories, I know this article is true.
Hi Agent D, thank you, yes, I´m sure dolls will get more accepted, it´s just a question of time.Agent D wrote:Wow, that was really, really, great. Thank you for sharing the story, with the World really. It's good to see positive, real person stories about dolls. In American, we're still trying to 'free the breast'. But we'll get there someday....

Hi Harem, yes, that was a bad episode, but it was just money and no hurt feelings which feels worse. You know how I feel towards my ladies and I was happy to share my story about the ladies that changed my life.haremlover wrote:Brave. And BRILLIANT!
Congratulations and thank you for putting dolls in their proper perspective.
Meeting up with a pro gambler at a casino . . . oh dear - it puts my Dad's problem with a real woman shark - thief - in perspective. Yes - dolls are so much better - and smart guys recognise that.
Best wishes
Harem
Hi Koen, thank you, sad but true, that detail is true as well, and to make matters even worse that lady was born in SE Asia but was dutch and lived in Berlin. Yes, I can laugh about that now, and yes, as already stated it , it was only money. It took some time to equal the account again but what my ex did was much worse.Koen wrote:Great story, Chris. Of course I already knew most of it, but, loved reading it anyway.
Did not know the part about the date with that gambler 'lady'. Or perhaps I have suppressed it. Please tell me that you did not really loose so much money on that date. My stomach cannot handle this.

Hi deerman, nice idea, Washington Post. Thank you, and please send best wishes to your ladies, and to you.deerman wrote:Way to go Chris!! One day your posts will be in the Washington Post The best to you and Brigtte.
Hi Homan, I haven´t checked on reactions in the paper yet. I think everything that shows the public that dolls are more than just sex dolls and broadens their horizon can´t be bad.homanoidus wrote:Thank you for sharing Chris, very interesting article.
Not so easy to show and tell, it is difficult certaintly, like to be naked in public, for a public you don't know,
Reactions... etc.
I am wondering if such a demarche is good for us!?! You are brave, congrats dear Chris!
Hi Hollows, that´s the plan and I hope it works.hollows+fentiman wrote:I echo all the comments Chris! That article was brilliant and thank you for sharing. Slowly these publications may change the attitude of the general public and convince them that dolls are a wonderful therapy! It is interesting that where most of the dolls come from in East Asia that there is very little taboo about having a doll AND displaying them in public! Hopefully the West will gradually get there.
As Elwood once said, "Civilisation is the appreciation of values gained by an accumulation of experience". We can gently change the world my friend!
Cheers, Hollows.
Thank you, Mandos!mandos wrote:Interesting read, Chris. And you are one seriously brave man for sharing your story not only with us but all the readers of that article. Respect!
Hi poppy, thank you, I´ll check the letters to the editors, I suppose the article will get published online any day so I can look up comments in the online edition. I´ll share that too.poppy70 wrote:Thank you for sharing your story with such a big newspaper. And I think it is well written, in a neutral non opinionated way. Surely took a lot of bravery to share that, even with some disguise. And thank you for sharing it with us.
Would be nice to know, what reactions and letters this article will cause wit the readers of Die Zeit.

Hi AH, yes, I have read your article. It was great! That lady was a pro as she lost just my money, and I suppose she gained some money by getting a high roller kick-back payment from the casino. The staff knew her and they confirmed her story that she had won big just a few weeks before. A payment like that is illegal and I can´t prove it but I´m pretty sure as the business at the Casino was pretty lame. Well, everyone won that evening but me. But in the end I won big time with my ladies.Alottahope wrote:Bravo Chris. A fine article indeed! I really enjoyed and relating to your doll story. As you know. I was interviewed for a similar article for the Times of UK. We doll owners have a lot to be proud of. Your love and passion for Brigitte really shine on us all at TDF. We are so fortunate to have you as amdasador to the press! The only word I would change is Professional?More like Un-Professional! A pro gambler would win you money!
Cheers Chris and thanks for sharing!
