Police have launched an appeal to find Dorothy, a $4500 life-sized sex doll stolen from a Melbourne adult store.

According to police, a man entered the Moorabbin store on Sunday morning before bundling Dorothy into a waiting white Ford Transit van.

So, the UPDATE...

The sex store gang...as they are becoming known (i would have gone with the Kendoll bandits.... myself ) have struck again today...this time they held up the store cashier at another venue after dousing her with petrol (gasoline) prior to fleeing with cash.

Police believe the same culprits are involved.

The sex store Chain is now offering $10000 REWARD for infomation leading to the apprehension of these bandits.

I read it in the German newspaper today, too. They say the item he used was a fire extinguisher. And the shop was closed on Sunday, so no chance to get her out with cash.

Maybe he wanted to be an anonymous customer and Dorothy spent too much money on shoes and lingerie, so they had to visit again and get some extra cash.

Well, I guess the bright side is at least he didn't try to kidnap a real person.

Just makes me wonder if dolls were a widely accepted hobby, would less women become victims of predators?

There's a bit of a criminal restraint being exercised here for him to steal a doll rather than go completely dark.

I do not understand how police gets the idea that the armed robbers threatening the sex shop lady to burn her alive after dousing her in gasoline have something to do with breaking into the other store to steal the doll ?

The guy who stole "Dorothy" broke into the shop to steal her, so he has been there before and fell in mad love... Probably he was video taped in the days before...

The nature and the purpose of the crimes is very different.

Yep...but I will be keeping an eye out on the for sale markets that vend and resell these gals.

Outstanding find Coolumbia ...that was the image set I was looking for...but waht has me confused (as I totally concur that this is the model) is the police and the store owner lists her as a 168 cm ...and for the life of me...I can not find a photo set of her with this head configeration JY #34 in the 168 JY line up,and the JY 168 cm is a different body to the one in the shop and police supplied images.
