Alright, Nele wasn't satisfied, I have to spend some more time on this.
But I'm allowed to show you at least something today. :)

We encountered major problems with the “Plasma charger”.
It works for some time, until it presumingly overheats.
But all it needs is probably better insulation.

Another thing to do will be roughing up the whole thing a little bit.
It looks to neat and new - not post-apocalyptic at all.

What doesn't work also is having the prosthesis attached while cyba sits on the throne.
But I found a place for it which is just as good. I'm probably going to decorate
the whole frame with further weapons, barbwire and electronic parts... :)

But this will take time, the highest priority was to finally finish the throne.

I forgot to mention, that I've also managed to get root-access on her subsystems
via a hacked ipod touch device she is carrying on her left thigh.
It only works though when she is charging and in hibernation-mode.
Otherwise it would be too dangerous to “touch” her stump... ;)

Who tought it would be a good idea to wake her up?
Remember, you can't play with her!
If anything she will be playing with you(r parts)! ;)

This is what it looks like when her "plasma charger" is actually working.
(Just a snapshot from yesterday while I still was working on it.)
Unfortunately it is not possible to extend the wire that is coming from the circuit board going to the ball.
Even with propper insulation. The change in resistance or capacity just kills it.
Having the circuit board somewhere near the ball itself looks bad (in the picture the base of the ball is still attached to it)
or is just not doable/practical.

The glass ball itself looks kinda cool though even without the sparks because it reflects the light nicely. And the sparks are not bright
enough to really shine against the light that is coming from the chair anyway. Especially with just a clear/white background.

I'll probably try two things, get a circuit board with a controllable high voltage output, so I can fine-tune everything.
Or use a plasma plate (?), the ones you know from Star Trek Borg alcoves. Those are much brighter.
But it depends on if I can find one with the right dimensions and color.

But because I'm saving every penny for my next doll right now, this project will be completely finished probably not until later this year.

I really like this greenish tint.
It looks so much more menacing.

This is what was inside her arm.
bone.jpg
I wonder how it could be modified and augmented to serve her as another usefull attachment.
Something like a dremel tool - although still to big.
Maybe a dental drill instead? A laser? What else?
Any ideas? :D

Hello, Nukeno!

You are so full of ideas!
I like your pictures also.
Nele reminds me of 2B from NieR now! Just as pretty.

Maybe the arm could serve as a stun baton of sort?
An Augmented Mezon Equalizer perhaps.

Great project!

Thanks Taeyeon,

this thread's title, my first idea, and what cyba has become, it's not really related anymore. ;)
(BTW Nele is my alter ego, better half and the one you see as my avatar.)
But indeed cyba looks like 2B, although that was never my intention.
I've seen pictures of her but never played the game.

So this is really more like a crossover of many influences.
For example her hair is white, because it's not supposed to be hair but fiberglass.
I experimented with actual illuminated fiberglass, but it was almost impossible to use it as a "wig" and make it look good.
The idea for the visor is clearly influenced by Star Trek, but the red "eyes" are more a Terminator thing.
The LED-lit plexiglas throne which acts also as her "charger" derives from combining the Tron-style with a Borg-alcove.
The modular concept with augmented body parts clearly is Borg. And I hope to implement that aspect especially with the augmented arm.
(I ordered a laser-module, a drill and a LCD-display today to play around with...)
Only the idea of using a rifle as a leg-attachment or prosthesis derives originally from the movie "Planet Terror". ;)

I don't know what a "Mezon Equalizer" is, but adding a "stun" feature to the arm is a great idea!
I'll look into it and hopefully can realize one that is actually working and produces some sparks. ;)

Isn't it amazing how the human mind works?
I'm glad that my original ideas usually suck and don't work!
Because on second thought it's always getting better! :)

One thing cyba doesn't need is another gadget.
How about a little human touch instead?
The last missing piece is going to be truly "stunning"!

Thanks Taeyeon! ;)

It's a lot of detailed work though.
I have to stop making this "announcements". ;)
But I'm so excited. And want to stay motivated.

Hmmm, maybe a prehensile tail? Could always use another weapon wielding appendage. Too Avatar?
It is okay to feed the bear! In fact, it is highly recommended! Just be sure to count your fingers afterword.

Very cool influences.
I agree that she is reminiscent of 2B and the other androids from nier. The black and white colors and buckles, the white hair, the sword, even the red eyes. I'm sure they took influence from some of the things you mentioned too.
I commend you for the realization of the throne. :) Man that is awesome. :o
I got a bunch of LEDs and plexiglass last summer for an idea but have yet to get off my ass and do anything with it yet! :?
Keep it up.
This is a great picture:

Hi everybody,

good news: nukeno finally finished my project today!
At least far enough so it qualifies as one of my art-projects now.
And about time because I'm already working on my next one anyway. ;)

We will take some pictures tonight and publish them over on my thread (link is in my signature).
But that means also that we will close this project-thread and delete most of the snapshots soon.

Don't expect too much, but I think the last added detail realy makes this project "stunning"... ;)
So be advised and excited to see the final version on my thread soon.

XOXO
Nele
